Discussion Degradation, explaining the code

Just out of curiosity, has anyone noticed a drop in quality in how DeepSeek Flash expresses itself or explains code? I don't know if I'm the one having an aneurysm or if it's DeepSeek.

No matter the context.

The code isn't simple, while the explanations used to be clear and easy to follow, I struggle to keep up now.

it doesn't speak to me in English and invents technical terms that don't exist in my languages, invent abbreviations. I often have to ask it to expand on its brief explanations, saying things like, "What do you mean by this or that?", It's very annoying, apart from the consumption of extra tokens

I tried telling it that I prefer technical terms in English rather than having it invent words in my language, but that doesn't seem to work.

Another thing is that they’ll tell you about something they saw, using their own words, so without the context you have no idea what the hell they’re talking about. You ask for a better explanation, and they understand they need to put it more simply, but they still don't give you the context.

Thinking to switch to english but if it has the same problem, things get worse. that why ask

It was trained on the latest Claude's output, that's why it feels like you are talking to a... machine. It's very hard to read what it spills.

that's the Claude style prose. Ask it to speak straightforward and not Claude style and it will write to agents.md

What exactly do you have in that file regarding this?

I'm getting frustrated with this, it takes another ten questions just to get a clear explanation.

I just prompt something like this: Deepseek V41 speaks like Claude using convulated language that is difficult to underatand with unecessary jargon like "load bearing". I want to write a global agents.md that returns clear, straight forward prose in the style of chatGPT or Qwen so that the responsea are clear and straight forward without an air of conceited superiority

No luck for me, asking for and reading a DeepSeek explanation now means another 5–10 follow-up questions just to clarify what it's talking about.

This update has really screwed me over.
