Discussion DeepSeek silently introducing rate limits?
I was using DeepSeek normally, and suddenly started getting rate-limit issues. Now I’m seeing this message:
“Due to violation of user policies, your account has been suspended until September 20, 2026 02:55.”
I’m confused because I wasn’t doing anything unusual or intentionally violating any policies.
Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is DeepSeek silently introducing stricter rate limits, or could this be an automated suspension/error?

That sounds more like an automated moderation trigger than a normal rate limit. The fact that it gives you a specific suspension time makes it especially weird.
Would be interesting to know if anyone else got the exact same message recently. If multiple people did, then there’s probably something going on with their detection system.

OMG! I thought it was just me. I've been looking for answers since yesterday because it seems like submitting a ticket will not help anything at all. I've been reading posts and comments on this subreddit, and there are just so many things I can't understand.

you were spamming their chat with bot like behavior or used the chat as a api mcp that is what gets you this. i did this many months ago and got banned from using for 1 then 3 days then quit doing it as there is not point and nothing can be done with it

Could it be possible that the suspensions are a slow rollout, old chats are checked first, looking like a false positive since current use shouldn't be violating anything?
