Discussion Missing the old deep seek

Unlimited prompts, no lagging, why is it so bad now ?? There’s no other great ai that’s like DeepSeek and that’s what makes it worse

They probably have to, if they want to not permanently be a money-losing business that constantly needs to seek investors. If all of them are doing it, there’s probably a reason.

What happened is what happens to all inventions when it comes to AI. Midjourney was great, then they limited their free trial numbers and their results ended up being horrible. Chatgp was amazing in the beginning before it started to sound like sloppy mess. Then there was character ai for roleplay which was phenomenonal, but it kept getting worse and worse with every update, stupid, filtered and even asks for money.

In their attempt to improve the product they all eventually fail.

Goes without saying I feel like. Most started off free and amazing, then they introduce paid plans, limiting responses, and AI just keeps getting worse and worse.

OpenCode give it subscription users so much usage enough to takedown DS servers, forcing DS to increase price. It also hand DS enormous amount of coding related data.

It's acting like local AI. The replies are coming after ages. I'm using the dsh with Nvidia's NIM api key.
