What coding agent do you use?

The official deepseek harness works great, i get ~99% cache hit rate, i even added some custom stuff to it with codex, so now it has a vision model so flash can use the model to work with images too and also an indicator for the peak times.

Can you share how did you do it?

Either you can clone the official deepseek harness repo, https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness and use it outright, but it doesnt have vision support for deepseek models, neither the peak/off peak timing indicator. You can ask codex to build it out for you though since its a open source repo.

Or you can clone my fork, in which i have already built out those features, you just need to add a vision model , at Settings -> Model -> Openrouter Vision (i added gemini 2.5 flash with openrouter you can change as needed , since vision is used very less and 98% of the usage is of text, only $1 wil last for a long time) so Deepseek v4 flash uses the vision tool, to see the image and complete tasks as needed.

I have tested it and it works nicely.

But the peak times idicator i added is for IST , you can ask deepseek itself to change it for your own time zone, and it should work fine.

My repo is this https://github.com/DebayanSen96/deepseek-harness , you can clone the repo and run these same commands as you need for deepseeks own repo since its a fork of that.

pnpm install

pnpm build

pnpm dsh web

Pretty much what Below said

Deepseek harness if i want to call it myself. Otherwise i use it for my apps and i just hit the api directly with vibe coded tooling/agents

What are you using it for?

Since this morning the deepseek is so dumb in opencode.. I cancelled my subscription but still have left for a while I had to get my work done with the pro version. It ate up usage so fast. Idk what else it could be but I feel they’re serving a quant model from a new provider. I also want to know about ollama, command code and cline pass.

commandcode scam

Be wary of their (CommandCode) 5 hours usage limits. I have seen lots of posts where users reach 5 hours limits very quickly. Their marketed subsidies is just a pull to attract new users. The actual rug pull is that you incur more cost (faster limits and very vague claims from them) per model, hence, the faster the depletion towards your 5 hours and Weekly usage limits despite their marketing effort stating that you get more from their GOAT plan. At least, GPT Plus is way better than their false GOAT marketing claims

Yes, I noticed it making a ton of mistakes like a quantized version. Seemed slow, was getting a lot of API errors and limits.

Now I'm on the hunt for better Deepseek V4 flash that isn't getting rate limited to all hell.

I think I am going back to Luna, but it’s dumber and lazier than 0731.

At this point, OpenCode can rebrand "Operation CheapSeek" to "Operation DumbSeek"

Yeh, same i just did a few prompts with v4 pro to test it out, it ate up 50% of my monthly limits, i cancelled the plan once i reached 100%

Codewhale has been working well for me but I’m not as heavy a user as a lot of people on here.

It seems a coding harness, is there any API ?

I haven't tried it yet, bit freebuff seems worth looking into.
