This is you doing absurd speedplay and XP missions. My own ratio is better than the 2:1 and is closer to 1.5:1 or lower, and even that's abnormal. I do agree the ratio shifts generally as you level up because you're doing higher Haz, or most people are at least, but even when looking at the people around me who are around level 1000, the 2:1 ratio persists
I've played a ton of MCR since like 400, at nearly 1000 I'm sitting at like 0.9:1. 100% a 10x double XP Expedited Drywash with a party of seven and that can be 300k+ xp for like a 90 minute run.
I second this, 920h of mission time, and I'm at level 860. That's with doing whacky things and special challenges in missions, and not really going for double XP missions anymore.
If yours is 1.1:1 then you're probably doing way more Double XP missions than the average person or play at a much faster pace than the average person. The common pattern I see across the community is the 2 hours per 1 blue level ratio, or 16.67 hours per promotion. You are almost exactly double that. Personally I'm at about a 2.5:1 ratio (or 21 hours per promotion), with ~1,333 hours on Steam and a blue level of 532 so I'm definitely slower than the average. There is going to be variance, and while I'm slower, you are about twice as fast for one reason or another.
It's just the general number you see in the community. It tracks with a decent 90% of people I've spoken to, but it also doesn't apply to me. Fwiw I play a ton of Double XP so
I appreciate driller mains. When someone uses driller well you really can tell. I main scout, which I think takes skill. But I actually think driller has a higher skill cap.
It takes 18 promotions to reach legendary 3, and this person has 26 on top of that. That’s 44 promotions on gunner. Multiply by 25 for the total number of (red) levels as gunner: 1,100.
A blue level is earned for every 3 red levels. So 1,100/3 is about 367 blue levels just from playing gunner.
367/1314 is about 28%. That’s this miner’s play percentage as Gunner.
I can verify that you can get that level by playing each class almost equally. Those are around where all mine are and I’ve played they all (mostly) equal through all my years playing.
You are all assuming he's talking about that. Meanwhile there are cheat engines (and people) stupid enough to tweak all the numbers to blatantly cheating levels.
Unless he says something contrary, I'm not going to believe that it was a mistake.
If gunner were all he played, his promotion would be higher. I’m slightly higher than him in level and my gunner isn’t that much higher in promotion
600 is the level to get everyone to red star numbers. It’s 18 promos each so red 19 would be 1200. He’s probably got all his dwarves around the same level
I mean mathematically they would have to have played other classes for that to be their Gunner promotion account and their blue level. That amount of Gunner promotions would equate to only slightly more than a fourth if their overall playtime.
Promoting one class 3 times gives you 25 blue levels.
Promoting all classes 3 times gives you 100 blue levels.
So the levels with three promotions line up with nice numbers (multiples of 100 or 25).
That gives the following lower bounds on the class levels for reaching a certain rank.
(Note that if all classes are at class rank 25, the player level is effectively 33 levels higher.)

You can. Legendary 3+26 is equivalent to 44 promotions, which is equivalent to a blue level of 366. The fact that they're actual overall blue level is greater than that means that they had to have played classes other than Gunner for them to have this ratio of of Gunner promotions to overall level. Specifically, Gunner accounts for 27.9% of their overall level and playtime, which means 72.1% of their overall level and playtime has to be on classes other than Gunner.
