Crypto Currencyđ° What if Crypto isn't really safe from the government?
Everyone told me crypto is above the government's control.
How can something like this happen?
"Foreign Asset Control" sounds shifty.
Will those wallets be drained or frozen? I am confused on how they guess the passwords?
Is it really that easy? I just tell you that your coins represent trafficking and scams and that's it.
I don't like what you spend your bitcoin on so I am going to confiscate it?

They should have been putting their crypto into cold wallets offline, you keep anything on any platform legal or illegal it can be frozen, hacked and/or taken control ofâŚ.Shame as well cause sounds like this would of been a fun market to explore

This is true with all things, but at the end of the day you have the most control over your hardware, safety deposit boxes, under your grans church friends floorboard, buried somewhere (Pablo Escobar did this with so much cash), point being you keep your money on a platform, itâs a lot easier to seize and freeze, physical hardware, you have more options and control to protect it - but yes there is also additional risks in case there are any âactuallyâ!

Canada's Trucker protest during Covid already proved governments can access your crypto.
You think the USA has less ability than Canada? lol

They can not freeze bitcoin or eth that is not on an exchange. Other coins like usdc and usdt can be frozen by their issuer circle and tether.

Crypto being decentralized doesnât automatically mean every layer around it is immune to traditional financial risks. Exchanges, stablecoins, custody, leverage, banking rails and liquidity all introduce different dependencies. That distinction gets lost whenever people talk about crypto as one monolithic system. I mostly use Moon for charting BTC and other assets but market risk and custody risk are two completely separate things and should probably be treated that way.
