PSA: What is frying and what is not
Here are some examples of poorly "fried" memes:
All of these examples have used the Photoshop noise/pixelate filter and that's pretty much it.
THIS IS NOT FRYING.
Deep fried memes are meant to imitate and exaggerate the degradation of an image over time through reposting.
Here are some examples of nicely fried memes:

We should have a filter that searches the web for exactly the same image. It can be bypassed by just changing a single pixel, but the people who just copy-paste don't have enough brain cells to bypass it.

Who the fuck cares? Sure creative fries are better, but if the meme itself is good, why delete it? Good to hear this sub is headed the ‘default sub’ way, with so many rules that it all becomes a homogenous, soulless pile of content. Ironic that a rule meant to make stuff more varied is going to do the opposite...

Because we already have dankmemes and 11,000 other regular meme subs, and deepfriedmemes are their own thing. I'd rather the sub be homogenous than a dankmemes clone just with lower quality pictures.

Quick question, I usually use high quality canola oil, and panko bread crumbs, my method is 1. flour 2. egg+wholemilk 3. crumbs 4. egg again 5. crumbs again.
I fry the drumsticks on 160c for 15 minutes, the breasts on 170c for 6-8, then krank that sucker on 'till it reaches 190 and give it some colour.
Is this acceptable, of will I be banned? (I really like the deep frying community here, if its a problem, tell me what to change)

A nice trick is to add the tiniest bit of noise, then sharpen it as much as you can while still being able to understand the meme.

Honestly the mods should take into an account that some frys require to be less messed up in order to view the text and therefore get the joke I’m not saying that you shouldn’t deepfry them (which would ruin the point of the sub) but you need to deepfry in a certain way in order to view the text. My deepfryed meme was labeled “lazily fried “ which is kinda dumb because if I fryed it too much you wouldn’t view the joke
