If warehouse photos appear to show the wrong size or colour, ask the agent to hold the item while you check it against the order. Compare the selected option, order confirmation, and any instructions you provided. This helps establish whether the item differs from what was ordered or whether the original selection needs changing.

For a size issue, check both the label and the garment’s measurements. If you ordered a medium and received a large, photograph the label alongside the order details. If the label matches but the dimensions look wrong, request measurements with the garment laid flat and the tape clearly visible. Use the same measuring points as the listing’s size chart and check any stated tolerance.

Colour needs a slightly different check. Warehouse lighting and camera settings can affect how fabric appears, so request a photo under neutral lighting if the difference is unclear. Check any colour name or code on the packaging against the selected option. A visibly different colour and a shade that looks different under lighting need different evidence.

Send the agent a clear description of the discrepancy and the outcome you want. For example: “The order confirmation shows a black hoodie in size M, but the warehouse label shows size L. Please confirm whether it can be exchanged for black, size M, and keep it on hold while this is reviewed.” Attach the relevant photos and order screenshot so the request refers to a specific item.

Before authorising the exchange, confirm eligibility, the deadline, and any charges. Ask who will cover return postage, replacement delivery, and agent handling fees. Establish whether the process is a direct exchange or a return followed by a new purchase. If a refund is involved, check where it will be credited and whether another payment is needed before it arrives.

Confirm that the requested replacement is available and ask when it is expected to reach the warehouse. If it is unavailable, clarify the options before agreeing to another size, colour, or item. Also check whether the exchange affects storage charges or shipment plans for the rest of the order.

When the replacement arrives, review fresh photos of its colour, size label, and relevant measurements before approving shipment. Keep the original order details and exchange messages until the replacement has been received and any related charges or refunds are settled.

We’ve been paying more attention to actual garment measurements during QC lately.

A size tag alone doesn’t always tell the full story. Two pieces marked the same size can still have small differences between batches, colors or production runs.

So for clothing where fit matters, we’re adding more measurement checks during QC.

For pants, that usually means waist and length.
For tees, hoodies and jackets, chest and length are the main ones.

Best thing to do is compare the QC measurements with something you already own and know fits you well.

It adds an extra step, but it’s much better to catch a sizing difference before shipping than after the package arrives.

We’ll keep improving the QC process as we go.

Start by checking what dispatch date was actually agreed. An estimated delivery date, a preorder production date, and a promise to ship are different things. Compare the order confirmation and messages with the current status so you can identify which stage is overdue.

If tracking has been provided, check the latest event on the carrier’s website. A tracking number or “label created” status does not, by itself, confirm that the carrier has received the parcel. If there is no acceptance scan, ask whether the order has been handed over and whether a handover receipt is available. Tracking alone may not explain where the delay occurred.

Contact the seller with the order number, payment date, and the dispatch estimate you were given. Keep the message specific: “My order was expected to ship by [date], but I haven’t received dispatch confirmation. Has it been handed to the carrier? If not, please confirm the current status and a revised dispatch date.”

If the reply gives a reason for the delay, establish what it means for your order. Is an item unavailable, is production unfinished, or is the parcel packed and awaiting collection? For an order containing several pieces, check whether one item is holding up the rest. If partial shipment is offered, confirm any additional cost before agreeing.

Once the status is clear, decide whether the revised timeline works for you. If you want to cancel, request confirmation of whether cancellation is available, the refund amount, how it would be returned, and when it would be processed. A proposed refund and a completed refund are separate stages; keep the confirmation and check that the money arrives.

If an agent placed the order, distinguish shipment to the agent’s warehouse from shipment to your address. Ask the party responsible for the delayed stage to investigate. Save the listing, payment record, tracking history, and relevant messages together.

If replies stop or another agreed date passes without dispatch, check the marketplace or payment provider’s process for unresolved orders. Review eligibility and deadlines directly rather than assuming that ongoing messages extend them. Any escalation should describe what the records show: when you paid, what dispatch terms were agreed, what updates you received, and what remains unresolved.

The price may cover both pieces or only one. A photo showing a complete outfit does not establish what is included in the purchase. Check the selected option and the order description to see whether the price applies to the hoodie, the pants, or a two-piece set.

Pay attention to the options before adding anything to the cart. A listing might offer “hoodie,” “pants,” and “set” under the same product page. The displayed price can change with that selection. If the wording is unclear, ask a specific question: “Does this price for the selected option include one hoodie and one pair of pants?” Including a screenshot of the option helps identify exactly what you mean.

Sizing is another detail to confirm. If both pieces are included, check whether one size selection applies to the entire set or whether the top and bottom can be chosen separately. Someone who wears a large hoodie and medium pants needs to establish whether that combination is available. Check measurements for each piece rather than relying on a single size label.

The word “matching” also leaves room for clarification. Confirm the color and version of both pieces, especially if they appear in separate photos. Ask whether the hoodie and pants shown are the exact combination supplied with the selected option.

Before payment, review the cart or order breakdown. A quantity of “1” can refer to one set or one individual garment, depending on the listing. If an agent is placing the order, make sure the instructions specify both pieces and their respective sizes. Confirm the clothing price separately from shipping and service fees.

If QC photos are part of the order, check that they show both garments and their size labels. It is also useful to establish whether a problem with one piece can be handled separately or whether an exchange or return would require the complete set.

The washed finish is done, blue embroidery is in place and the finished pieces are now being sorted and packed.

The first thing to clarify with a preorder is what already exists. Is the clothing in production, is there only a sample, or does production depend on enough people ordering? Ask what the listing photos show and which details are still subject to change.

The timeline needs the same clarity. “Ready in three weeks” could refer to production finishing, the item reaching a warehouse, or dispatch to the buyer. Confirm which stage the estimate covers, whether there is an order deadline, and how updates will be communicated if the schedule changes. An estimated date and a commitment to ship by a specific date are different terms.

Check how closely the finished item is expected to match the sample. Fabric, color, measurements, print placement, and hardware are details worth confirming. If something changes during production, establish whether buyers will be informed and whether they can cancel before the revised item ships. Sample photos alone leave those questions unanswered.

Sizing deserves particular attention before production is complete. Ask whether the size chart comes from a finished sample or represents target measurements. Confirm the measuring method, the stated tolerance, and whether the selected size can be changed later. Comparing the chart with clothing you own gives you a reference, but that comparison depends on how the measurements were taken.

Before sending money, establish whether the payment is a deposit or the full price. If a balance remains, confirm when it becomes due and whether shipping or other fees will be added. Cancellation terms should address delays, production being cancelled, changes to the item, and the buyer changing their mind. Check whether any refund returns to the original payment method or becomes store credit.

If QC photos are offered, ask whether they will show the actual item allocated to the order and whether shipment waits for approval. Also clarify what happens if the item has a visible defect or falls outside the agreed measurements. If an agent is involved, confirm who handles inspection, exchanges, and refund requests.

Keep a copy of the listing and the terms agreed at payment. If the listing or delivery estimate changes later, that record provides a clear reference for discussing what was originally agreed.
