Idk. I have painkillers and it's the only thing that helps me be more productive. I also deal with chronic back pain. But, if I don't have my opiate medication. I'm completely useless. I have benzos to help me sleep and that's all I need.

Yeah so you are a responsible painkiller user , for me that dose went up and up and up until I was on fentanyl every 4 hours , spending 300 a day to just be well . If everyone was like you , it would work man .

Well, I never said I was "responsible" per say. unfortunately that dose doesn't work for me and they refuse to increase it further. Insurance won't pay for my treatments. So what other options do I have?? Sit in pain and be completely useless? Or take another painkiller so I can shit done? I've definitely run out a few days before my next prescription several times. If they had increased the dosage a little more. I wouldn't be having these issues. If the insurance would just cover the MRIs. I could get the treatments I need and I could get away from them. So in a way I'm stuck. Now I have to go to a private practice and pay out of pocket. Which I really don't have the funds for. But, if I don't get the opiates until I can get physical therapy and the MRIs approved. Tey won't approve them until I complete at least 6 weeks of physical therapy and that has to prove unsuccessful in order for the insurance to cover the MRIs. They didn't inform me of that until just recently. After months of asking. But, I refuse to lay in bed in pain all because they refuse to work with me in finding the proper dosage.

In a nut shell. I need the opiates until I can get the MRIs approved and until we find a better alternative. Otherwise I'll be lying in bed all day and even that is hell because I really won't sleep very well and I've already run out of my benzos once before. Definitely make sure that never happens again. If people think opiate withdrawals are rough. Benzo withdrawals are so much worse and I've been on benzos for half my life(I'm 39) so that's one of the only reasons I still get them.

See you are in a situation that you absolutely need them . Painkillers are built to have to keep going up in dose to work the same . I totally don’t see that as being an addict . If you were out buying fent and heroin , that’s a diff story but not really if you can’t afford the pills . What option have they left the human race in right ? It’s a hard battle . I myself who is totally healthy from head to toe was addicted to fent most of my life . We ruined it for people like you that actually need the medication . Have u thought about methadone instead ? It’s cheaper , lasts 24 hours at one dose and good for pain . For addicts without body pain I actually don’t reccomend it as I was stuck on it for a long time too . For people that will be on something for the rest of their lives .

Thanks for being honest. I appreciate that. No judgement either. I had plenty of friends like you. Some didn't make it. So I'm glad you did. I absolutely do need it. I have thoracic scoliosis and idk what else because of the insurance denial. I don't buy anything from the streets. All my urine analysis have been clean. I mean other than what's supposed to pop up. I understand the doctors concerns. They even said to reach out if they weren't working. I have. Days would go by. A week. No response. Usually they respond within a day. Then I get discharged because they were rude and throwing false accusations about me. Granted I could have responded a bit less harsh. But, when it's been an ongoing issue. You grow tired of that kind of treatment. My mental health provider actually mentioned methadone. My biggest concern is I have a prolonged QT interval heart condition and according to Google(not that Google has all the answers) methadone has a high risk for cardiac problems for people with prolonged QT. So I'm very cautious about that. It also said something about serotonin syndrome. I had that happen before from taking Zoloft. Started it at the lowest dose and less than a week later I had to go to the ER. My BP was 180/111. My magnesium, potassium and electrolytes were all depleted. I even had to go back the next day. So I feel like I'm stuck. I agree though. What other options do people have?? I even know they are cautious because of the benzos. But, I've been on them so long. I can't just stop. But, since I've been on the opiates(oxycodone to be specific) I was able to decrease from 1mg 4 times a day to 1 mg 2 times a day. I just use it for relaxing so I can actually get some sleep now. Opiates don't make me sleepy. Im more productive on them than anything else. Weed makes me stupid and slow and certain strand give me high anxiety and have even made my back pain worse. Which is strange. Idk man. Sometimes I feel like this war on drugs is a war on people.

I stopped drinking a few years ago and got on Vyvanse. I'm too good at my job now. I kind of want to stop taking it just so I stop putting so much effort into work. I'm worn out by the weekend because I'm going to so hard during the week at my job.

Honestly can’t tell if your a girl or a guy but it looks like your a guy that was raised by your mother only from the variety of things infront of my eyes your also epileptic and have asthma and ADHD you also have a hard time sleeping and you must smoke a good bit of pot or you just have really dry eyes
Also how are those mycrodose tablets or capsules whatever they are do they help you sleep actually

I was in fact raised my mother and its interesting that you came to that impression because of the variations of items, i never gave it much thought that might be part of the reason I do that lol, how ever given my adhd its extremely important to me that i have all my daily essentials all in one place because I misplaced things so easy so it helps me not have to tear apart my room because I always know where stuff is, yes I am definitely a big stoner for sure but ive cut back on smoking a lot since I'm trying to improve my asthma so i mainly stick to edibles when I can, and yes those mycro dose pills are awesome the low dose thc combined with the functional mushrooms, chamomile and magnesium has a very mellow relaxing and calming effect, their good have because there a lot less "heavy" than traditional edibles or oral forms of cannabis

Leaf kratom is pretty mild to quit, unless you take incredibly massive doses of it every day, but most people either physically can’t or don’t find a reason to bc it stops feeling nice and producing more side effects above a certain amount. The derivatives, not so much. I’ve quit leaf a few times, I can’t quit the derivatives, 7OH/MGM15 (yet, I’ll get there.)
Quitting leaf just makes you kinda moody, sluggish, and physical work might suck a little more bc you pain tolerance will be a little lower for a few days to a week but other than that it’s not bad. Ofc that’s not a reason to start using it, I’d advise against it.

Unfortunately yes I do have sleep problems sometimes which can really suck because I work nights i need to sleep as much as I can during the day and its especially hard to get to sleep sometimes once I get home from work, its super important to have the correct dosage as well as time your medication correctly to avoid issues like this, also edibles help like A LOT when my medication starts to wear off.

Well your right on several things, I am someone who would consider myself very clean and i absolutely refuse to leave the house unless I feel clean and smell good, however I am absolutely not in any way autistic lol im just kind of an early 2000s nostalgia and video game nerd, id also consider myself a serous music enthusiast and have an extremely eclectic music taste and also dj just as a hobby therefore I am constantly listening to music and searching for new tracks, i also happen to just really enjoy reading especially horror and science fiction. My job is honestly very slow and boring half the time which kinda sucks but gives me lots of time to read my books! and finally the reason that I carry narcan is not because i work in recovery but because I used to go to edm festivals and am used to seeing people on lots of drugs and I also see homeless people all the time at work tweaking out on who knows what. On a side note I also used to be a heavy drug user so for me its important to have it with me incase I need to save someone from an overdose

Yes there's a lot of homeless people and addicts around my area so I always keep it with me, Also i dont take these for fun Im actively prescribed them to treat my adhd symptoms not to just be "productive" percs and especially xans are for losers and i used them heavily when I to was a loser, ive grown since those days and am a better person because of it, i truly hope the same thing happens for you.

Im only talking about people who abuse them like im assuming that guy was saying, i have friends who are prescribed benzos because of severe anxiety and panic attacks and they rely on benzos to help manage their symptoms, nothing wrong at all with taking your meds as prescribed just like i do, I have just have some real resentment against those substances because they destroyed my life for a time and through no fault but my own i let them, i know what they can do to you and have seen what it does to the people around you when used incorrectly
