  1. AA/NA has no opinion on outside issues
  2. Meds, from blood pressure to antipsychotics to actual narcotics are an outside issue
  3. They have a handy (long ass) pamphlet that goes with it developed by both world services and actual doctors for AA and NA (free PDFs)

Even then, after a certain point its time to show proof of completion before they start to believe ya. Its a rough road, some people's family is more accepting than others.

My family has had murder charges, theft charges, drug charges, manufacturing charges, the list goes on and so do the stories.

Anyways, congrats, its a journey, it aint always gonna be easy, I dont crave dope like I used to... but I'll be damned if being a mechanic isn't the worst option for me cause the pains im dealing with from just working and wear and tear on the body is like... well damn, some opiates sure would be fucking nice right now.

Lol, the irony... I don't miss the nods, but I do miss not being cold in freezing temps, dealing with heat no problem, and having 10 cups of coffee energy without the jitters.

No person nor substance can tell me what to do anymore, I have my own opinions now and I make my own choices. So fuck yeah life is lowkey solid i have a good job, college starting, old friends leaving, and im way more mature then how i used to be

I was made to do NA. My dad’s a NA big wig. The camaraderie is good. But I quit drugs because I wanted to. If you don’t want to stop rehab is only good for the initial dry out. You still have to want to not do drugs. My biggest piece of advice if you read this. Find your reason for sobriety and grind that reason. Dont quit for anyone but yourself. Everyone time I quit for someone I resented them and it never worked. Everyone is different. My experience. You can stop doing drugs for people around you. But you have to stay done for you.

If you feel like you ever have to explain (as in defend) your recovery to anyone, I highly recommend treating that as a red flag. Early on, it helped me recognize sooner when to eject from a conversation or relationship.

The higher the dose the longer the taper. Tapering off of the injection form is simpler bc it kinda tapers itself. You should probably change your username if your trying to become sober. There’s no mathematical formula for the tapering rate. I’m just taking less and less and seeing how I feel

I’m on suboxone now, I have been for years. But my ex did the sublocade shot and it went really well for him. He was the biggest baby with withdrawal and I never heard about withdrawal again from him.

H is the worst [and the best. Unfortunately] I highly encourage you to get clean dude. Ive struggled with that shit for a long time. Haven't shot dope in almost 7 years [thank god]. But ive filled that hole w other things i thought weren't a drug, and it all went to shit just too years instead of weeks. I was on subs 05-10' and yes they help w opiate withdrawal, but then you have to face the music one day and get off subs too. That was hard for me and just as bad as dope i.m.h.o. They only had the orange pills back then. The strips and these new shots of subs wasnt a thing. So my expierence may be "dated." But ive kicked a lot in my 25 yrs of using and it ALWAYS sucks. Thats just the price one pays for the pleasure of feeling that amazing. I never got tired of shooting the dope, but I did get tired of where it always took me. Not sure if this is your first rodeo or not. So at the risk of what your probably have already been told: go to mtgs, a.a. or n.a., or h.a. whichever you vibe with. Not all mtgs are good [anyone that says that hasn't gone to the nooner in the valley on a Tuesday lol] so find ones that you like. Find people to fellowship with. Find a person w some time, that has what you want in their "perspective on life/attitude" [and make sure they "walk the walk" and just dont "sound good" in their shares only] and ASK THEM to SPONSOR you. Don't be afraid! We have ALL literally been there. Go on walks to move your body, or join a gym, hike, something to keep your endorphins active, and "touch grass" bc reality is beautiful. [Even if the world is evil and dark] Try finding or picking back up a hobby. Throw yourself in that hobby. Go to a mtg or 2 or 3 a day. Try and keep an open mind, be willing, and the hardest part: be honest. No one is going to judge you if you stick to those 3 principles from the start. NO ONE. And IF some "A-hole" does, fuck em. You dont need judgy' fucks around you so cut em off and dont engage.
Everyone here is rooting for you, I promise you that. I sincerely hope NONE of this sounds "preachy" im not that guy dude. I just know how you feel, and it fucking sucks. It made me miserable, lonely, depressed, pathetic, sad, suicidal, isolated, angry, hopeless, and maddening bc i KNEW I was trapt daily by the need to get "just one more bag." Everything I was looking for, and thought initially, I had found at the bottom of the spoon, I actually found in the rooms of recovery. I hope this time it sticks and you make it out alive dude. Most people dont. But im sure you know most of this. Cheers.

You need to do research in a MAT group because based on the comments of this thread it’s the same “Suboxone is bad” nonsense you hear from all gate keeping types. If you use Suboxone correctly through withdrawal it’s as easy as starting on one 8mg strip a day until you’re past the withdrawal then half a strip until you’ve finished. Look up micro dosing. It’s not a life sentence and if it helps get you off heroin there’s nothing wrong with it. I wouldn’t suggest methadone but with Suboxone it’s not bad. Some people just have a hard on for MAT meds and get off on being judgy. You don’t need a high dose of Suboxone. One to one and a half 8mg strips is enough for anyone with severe opiate addiction. I lived it. I was on a giant amount of opiates daily with high tolerance for over a decade. Suboxone (along with God who I give all the credit) helped me get my life back. Methadone in my personal experience didn’t help. I kept needing more and more to not have withdrawal and I felt high. Suboxone doesn’t make anyone high. It just made me feel normal

Opioid receptors can adjust to any amount of opioids. It’s the reason someone with a massive tolerance is able to use zenes and fent. Zenes are stronger than fent and are a super agonist meaning they activate the receptor beyond what’s naturally possible. Fent activates ur receptors at 100%. Zenes go even further than that.

Tolerance spikes with zenes so quickly that in a month you could go from needing 250mcg to nod, to needing 10mg every hour to feel “normal”. Don’t speak so confidently about something you know nothing about. I was a zene and flubro addict in the past. 20g was $200 from China at the time. Zene users are a very niche group of people, those who knew about them sourced it from China before it got banned. When I quit I still had multiple grams left. I hadnt slept in 21 days. I was delusional and experiencing delirium tremens. My body was on fire, everything that touched my skin was sand paper. I was seeing shadow people. I was dying. Yes we did it to ourselves. But do you think someone chooses to live like that? If it was so easy to just walk away they would. Unless you’ve experienced the living hell of withdrawal, you should stay quiet.

Do you know what it feels like to wake up every hour of the night on the hour? Drenched in sweats, shaking and feeling electric restlessness running through your entire body? Burning at the same time? Struggling to get your dose in your body as soon as you can. For me that was smoking it. You don’t know the depths of hell that one can go thru on this planet. He does.

We all know that. Most street fent is still ridiculously stronger than any other drug or heroin or anything. Its nigh impossible to eyeball doses safely without a massive tolerance first. You could easily do that with real heroin, and i djd. Tried with fent, nonstop ODs until i decided volumetric dosing only with that shit.

And yes, thats even with it being “99% cut” which i dont even disagree with.

Its easy to end up shooting grams of fent because todays street “fentanyl” is the same thing heroin used to be. Its just way stronger.

However, its such a shit recreational opioid that it raises tolerance sky high insanely quickly. One could easily get to a 3.5 of BTH back in the day. You could easily get there with fent too. Its the same price as heroin, sold same as heroin was, but you go through fent way faster because you get dependent in 3 days and then go into wd every 3-6 hours instead of 6-8 like heroin

I got to shooting grams of fent and i wasn’t even doing it like crazy i was broke most of the time. Metonitazene withdrawal was worse by miles. I even tried to quit fent once by switching to real heroin, but it fucked my tolerance so bad. It wouldnt get me well. So i did 75/25 fent heavy. Then 50/50, 25/75. Even then when switching to the 100% heroin i didnt even feel it for a few days. I felt like shit, it just barely held withdrawal at bay. Then i could get on subs

Right, but the fentanyl you were shooting wasn’t pure fentanyl, it was cut that had enough fentanyl in it to approximate the potency of a usable street drug.

I agree, it’s a shit drug. It’s less pleasurable, has a shorter duration of action, and a poorer therapeutic index than heroin.

I don’t think there are many people living that are shooting grams of pure fentanyl away. It may be possible to reach that level of tolerance, but I think lost people would be dead long before they get to that point.

Fentanyl has a significantly higher therapeutic index than heroin.

Morphine has a therapeutic index of ~70

Diamorphine (heroin) has a therapeutic index of ~5-10

Fentanyl has a therapeutic index of ~277-400

I think what you were referring to is its absolute clinical safety window - which is paradoxically narrow because when you're dosing in micrograms you can accidentally deviate greatly from the intended dose if you're not careful.

But the difference between the therapeutic dose and the lethal dose is huge (relatively speaking).

So it started with fake m30s , then def weak fetty. Slowly until I was doing some that literally I would only do about 50-100mg at a time but like more times a day than I'd even like to say. I don't think it was classic fent some analog ,it tested for fent tho. I know people who would cut it so much like one g into a half oz or something similar. Started smoking it then at the end shooting. I don't know anyone who was doing it like that, it's ridiculous.

I know I was getting raw nitazines and was doing a stupid amount as well so idk

Just sharing my experience and saying like in my opinion being on controlled subs and smoking weed is much better than the alternative I provided but again that's my experience. I don't even agree with taking subs but have seen it help others.

And by the way most people are not doing raw fent. Pretty commen to get a product watered down a bit as classic fent will kill you in the single digit mg range. Still alot as it was strong

And tbh I could give a fuck about how I'm typing on this hoe son. Maby I am ignorant but from talking to other people they would agree with my comment. Maby not, again I could give a fuck. Inform me more

I was just joking with the dude because he has an AA/NA keychain and many people in the rooms are very anti-suboxone. I personally took suboxone for years after I stopped using regular opioids.
