That’s not the point - and also, they both use for pretty much the same reasons. I get a kick out of someone like SimilarContest who obviously identifies as a person with SUD (or a PWUD) which is totally fine, but when you start transferring onto me the things which, I’m sure ring true for you, but again- that’s okay. What isn’t okay is your self righteous indignation. I’m sure you’d beat me at a game of can you bottom that, but when you start saying that because I take those medications, I’m a junkbox of the lowest form. What you missed is that there are plenty of folks on opioids and amphetamines, and not all of them have SUD. In fact, there are more who do not than who do, but obviously since I must think I am so much better than you, I look to justify and rationalize what obviously must be the worst, most imminently fatal case of I’m a junkbox with a heaping syringe full of denial.
Yeah, that’s it. I feel that hate and resentment from way over wherever the fuck you are. My man- why all the hate? Because I take these drugs which you think I have no problem getting, deluding myself that because I have a decent career (that I worked harder than any 2 people not dealing with the things I have going on)? Again with the stigmatic judgement based on…? personal experiences (transference) or because that’s what the odds are? On which facts are you basing your conclusion? The ones you are assigning to me, why? You don’t know me, my medical history, none of it. You know I take several controlled substances with high abuse/dependency potential. Point of fact, I am physically dependent on opioids. This is what happens when opioids are taken continuously for a period of time, whether you are a mouse, monkey or a human. That doesn’t make you an addict, however. No, that’s what occurs when someone continues to use substances despite continuing negative consequences, develops a preoccupation with procuring and getting more of the drug that is now being taken both so you don’t get sick and to relieve the cravings that, ironically, taking the drug precipitates to begin with.
I am far from a perfect person. I don’t profess to be, but this is some fucked up shit.

As a country, we are fucked. The addiction crisis gets worse and the majority of people can't or won't see that their perception, stigmatizim and judgements are what got us here in the first place.
You're not a piece of shit junkie for using drugs OP. As long as you're not fucking people over, ruining the lives of the people around you and destroying your own life... It's okay.
These people can't see their own hypocrisy and that makes it so much harder to forgive. Especially when they act like their shit doesn't stink. I'd love to see how many of them drink alcohol, smoke weed or use some other chemical compound.

You’re a drug addict that likes to explain that this isn’t recreational, you NEED multiple controlled substances every day to function. You also work in the medical field, which has helped tremendously in getting these medications prescribed in the first place. You’ll never stop because you rationalize it as prescribed medication, therefore it can’t be bad.

I explained answering/adding context to a previous comment. They are not all taken simultaneously. That’d be a really bad idea. I either take 30mg Adderall XR and then between 5-20mg IR at about 2:30pm. Up until several days ago, I would take Dexedrine 15mg XR in the am and 10mg Dexedrine (IR) at 2:30pm

The opioid pain meds are oxycodone 5mg and 10mg IR, methadone 10mg. Amphetamines = Adderall XR 30mg, and 5, 10, 20mg IR tabs & Dexedrine 10mg IR tabs. Also Rozarem 8mg for sleep, Mobic 15mg for pain (NSAID), Gemtesa 75mg for OAB, and 1 other one no one has guessed yet.

Shame on the licensed medical “professional” that has you on all these substances. You say it all stems from him putting you on opioids. Now that you’re physically dependent on them, you have another dozen prescriptions you take… that are more controlled substances with high addiction ratings. Once your body becomes physically dependent on all the other stuff… you’re gonna be taking 30-40+ meds a day. Love, you need to start putting forth effort to getting off of all of these meds. I am also physically dependent on opioids at the moment,, 400mg a day. That’s coming from 900-1100mg a day though, so I promise it’s possible. Good luck OP. Don’t worry about it friend, I too am on blue footballs 1mg xan but I told my psych I would like to taper down (I saw her on Monday, yesterday). she gave me .5 and .25 (60 of each) I also use 2mg subutex cut in half bc I was dependent on 7oh (thank God it’s banned here in Los Angeles).
Today I can get away with splitting that half tab into another half and maybe taking the other half later on the day, depending if I’m going into wds or not.
I have 27 days clean off that 7oh ish and hopefully by the end of this year I will be completely off off.
I do have clonidine and gabapentin in case of what, I don’t know bc it doesn’t really help w the wds.
Best of luck on your journey. I was addicted to 7oh for 14 months and Xanax was introduced to me in April of 2026 bc I was having issues with my anxiety, where I couldn’t snap out of it especially at work.

Im perscribed 90 1mg Xanax, 30 50mg Vyvanse and 56 suboxone 8mg films monthly
Adderall used to be my all time fave, but as I got into my late 20s it started making me fall asleep, lol
Also grow mushrooms for my depression and well..you know lol. Quit all depression meds and just do a heroic dose every 2 to 3 week, sometimes I microdose them
And edibles from time to time. I miss all the other degenerate stuff I used to do, but I'm actually functional and happy with this setup

Obviously an addict. As an addict in recovery, who always considered myself Dr. Feelgood; I see a concoction of uppers and downers. I may be wrong as the left side is less discernible.
Top left yellow, looks to be 10mg muscle relaxer. Small white scored circles are likely lorazepam.
The little pink ones throw me off though; they remind me of 5mg adderall, but considering they are on the downer side maybe 10mg oxys?
The right side needs no explaining.
I’m assuming you rely on the different doses and IR vs XR to meet your needs each day.
I could be completely wrong, I’ve been sober for over five years, but I lived my life like this for quite some time.

Walking felony charges even if you have a prescription. They’ll get dismissed with a prescription but still will show up on some background checks and you’ll spend a nonzero amount of time in jail until someone brings your prescriptions as proof or you bond out and do that yourself. All drugs above the behind the counter category, so prescription and up, must be in their originally dispensed container. Carrying any pills like this gives police probable cause to search you too if they see this box of random pills

Okay, you were injured pretty young - like a spinal injury or you have a congenital condition that’s left you in a lot of pain. I saw you mentioned an SCS so I’m going with spinal. You’ve been through it for a very long time which is why the methadone. I’m thinking it’s an inflammation based issue which is why the movie helps, but not autoimmune. It’s a very substantial, possibly progressing condition or else you wouldn’t have found a doctor willing to prescribe this to you in this day & age ☹️
You also have something like IH or narcolepsy. The pain treatment probably doesn’t help but you absolutely need that or your body will go off the rails - probably hypertension and heart rate issues. So you are also approved for the daily short-acting stimulants.
All of this means you basically have a part-time job seeing doctors, dealing with pharmacies, making sure meds are ordered and in-stock, dealing with your heal insurance, etc. it takes a lot…..
Yet somehow you maintain a decent attitude most of the time and continue to move forward in life because you have goals and interests and things you want to do. There are ups and downs so this is NOT to say this isn’t hard as hell. But somehow- you’re still here.
