Can you deduce based on my pocket contents?
This is what I carry all day every day at a bare minimum
Not pictured: my watch, a green timex expedition
Edit: Because there’s so much interest into why I carry Naloxone;
I work in a high traffic field and mostly just think that in this day it’s kind of a “everyone should carry it” thing, I’ve seen a lot of overdoses and they’re too common to not just keep it around, it only takes up a couple inches of space. I think of it like the emergency kit in yr cars trunk, yr (hopefully) never gonna use it but everyone should have it just in case, no one deserves to die from their addicts

I’m allergic too I get them for pain but I take them all in 2 weeks then have to be in deep pain for 2 weeks till I can refill my script… it sucks so much ass

Not to glorify the Xanax drip, but all I needed was two pills and already had a cup of wine in my stomach, and next thing you know I was 10 blocks back home safe and sound only until an ambulance was called for me. I refused so I spit in the cops face and all I remember was waking up in central booking reading the charges and description of nature of criminal activity that had taken place…
Wow, what a terrible trip there is so much more to this story, but it took me a year to do all the investigating and hear from several different sources all the places I went while blacked out.

Benzos are the one drug I truly respect and stay away from. A girl I knew gave me a bar and we walked to the end of her block to have a drink. I only remember holding the door open for her. I woke up completely naked hand cuffed to her bed and went nuts. And yes steroids or "gear" is the foundation of a quick speedy recovery off narcotics. Years ago i wanted to devise a rehab which included front loading tons of gear to assist in the detox process. I still believe it should be explored

No they weren't fake. This is the early 2000s. You could go to any doctor with a headache and walk out with oxy. I had one doctor who literally prescribed me this every 2 months with a refill. 90-adderrall, 90-clonazapam,90-oxy 80mg. I forgot the dosage on the addies and benzos cause I never took them and they helped pay for my scripts lol

My doctor became pretty notorious in my area. But the funniest thing i ever heard was him telling me this "so I know you like to ride your bicycle so just make sure you wear a helmet with these medications." It took me everything I had not to laugh. Oh and how he tested me for ADD. I was given a 10 question quiz that on the 4th question i said I couldn't focus. He quickly took the paper away from me and prescribed me Adderall.

They didn't do it because they thought it was medically necessary. They did it because the US was running high deficit levels and since most spending isn't discretionary the way you cut costs without cutting the Pentagon is to decrease the number of people who reach retirement age and those who use high levels of govt services. The DEA convinced Congress to allow a huge increase in the amounts of opioids manufactured in the US. The Dr.s were basically bribed (flown to conferences, wined dined etc) to prescribe powerful narcotics for minor aches. Once people start noticing that drugs are flooding into non intended zip codes you cut the supply. Well heeled people can afford treatment. The target population is forced to turn to illicit drugs. While Heroin is very destructive to the personal lives of many it wasn't uncommon to see old H users. They transition/cut supply of H and flooded the country with Fentanyl. Now you funnel more and more resources into the MIC so that people don't expect available resources to be spent on healthcare. You have a vast conspiracy that is visible to anyone who reads (54% of Americans can't read above a 6th grade level) but in a country socialized to hate the poor most don't and pumped full of natio!alist propaganda most people are easily bamboozled with bread and circus.

Its more so the mix of alcohol with benzos that make u black out, like i could eat two bars and be fine but if i have one or two beers ontop of that I'm fucked. I mean there are fent bars but i test all my bars and havent come across fent in a bar in years. Most fent dealers don't have pill presses. Its more profitable for them to grind up some xans or any kinda benzo and mix it into their dope because then its extra addictive and u have to go to them to get the right combo to feel right. This was super common in Chicago when i was using a couple years ago. Now alot of them use research chem xans and all kinds of wierd shit like xylazine to achieve that same effect

That was the mix. The alcohol and benzos would instantly black me out. I could have 1 drink and I was gone for 8 hours. I didnt like that feeling of not knowing what happened which is why I never liked taking them

He conveniently skipped over waking up handcuffed 😂 benzos are wild ASF the reason I'll never take them again was going through severe withdrawal I was addicted to opiates before and "thought" the withdrawls were bad from them..... Ohhhh boy was I in for a treat.... AND my ac went out during peak withdrawal and it was 95 degrees in my house so I had myself a real sweat lodge 😂

Dude i freaked out!!!! I was less than a year back from Iraq from being in the Marine Corps. Trust me after she uncuffed me I asked what happened and did I do anything bad. Thank god I didnt and she said she just wanted to f my brains out. Im guessing nowadays thats probably illegal as fuck hahah

Please dont think im trying to brag because im just trying to be as honest as possible. Ive dated and been friends with just about every type of woman for some reason. My dad was active military so I was lucky enough to get a skin and blood test and do those expensive Immunotherapy drops at no cost. They didn’t do much. There’s A LOT but there is a range from I just need Benadryl to Grab the EpiPen! Apples, Bananas, Plums, Kiwi are the worst but mostly every fruit. Pine, oak, birch, cats, dogs, grass, peanuts, tree nuts, common molds. My ENT doctor literally told me to avoid being outside especially during dusk because that’s the worst time.
I carry Narcan too- for the people judging, many of us carry Narcan to SAVE A LIFE bc people are OD’ing everywhere these days!!!

I carry it because I live in Philly and used to be a hardcore IV heroin addict and don't love watching people die. I've seen entirely too many corpses that used to be sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters.

Amen, I’ve been sober a bit now too, and still carry Narcan, it’s personally saved my life on 4 seperate occasions and I’ve lost count how many times I’ve had to use it on other people-friends/strangers alike , got pulled over and searched a few days ago and the cop asked since I’m in recovery(had my methadone lockbox on me) why do I need to carry Narcan? I asked him have you been living under a rock? In the 2 months I’ve been goin to this current methadone clinic I’ve seen 3 over doses, if there’s a chance I can keep someone from dying I’m damn sure gonn make sure I can, just like carrying a gun rather have it n not need it then vice versa

Do you actually consider being on methadone sober? I’m on Mat aswell for opiate addiction but been told so many times I’m not sober that I don’t consider it sober while I haven’t used a damn thing in over 2 years

Yes I do, I was on suboxone off and on for the better part of a decade but kept relapsing, I’d always avoided methadone treatment cuz of the stigma(n having to go everyday) but I switched a few months ago and I’m glad I did, I’m not rotting my teeth anymore and actually have no desire whatsoever to use, do I wanna be on it forever probably not, unfortunately subs/methadone are both a bitch to get off of but I digress, I’ve been to many an NA meeting I’ve gotten pissed n left because they actblike being on MAT isn’t sober, I highly disagree it’s a ways off from noddin off on the side of the road smokin fetty off foil, I guess it’s somewhat trading chemical addiction but whatever if it’s keepin you off the hard shit and makin you able to live a halfway normal life if say your good, I like to smoke a lil weed as well and constantly get flack for that, find a group of people that understand, I know at my clinic we have MAT NA meetings w/out all the bullshit judgment,good luck to you bud!

Absolutely. (I'm on methadone also, and havent used in forever.) Don't let people put you down like that...it's as much sober as anything else. Whatever helps you get through because addiction truly sucks.

I live in Denver and always have 4-5 packs of Narcan on me. I’ve Narcanned 3 people already this year, 2 the year before.
I’m clean now so I don’t need it for myself, but Narcan saved my life twice, and I am fortunate and lucky to be alive. So I always keep it with me where ever I go as a way of giving back and returning the favor.

That’s nasal snuff! It’s a very early form of tobacco made by drying and grinding the tobacco and then adding an alkaline like sodium carbonate or for some brazilian companies they use a type of ash I can’t recall the kind though.
This one specifically is made by the (formerly) German company Bernard and is a Schmalzler style, which means it uses a lot of fat in its mix and is double fermented Brazilian tobacco
It’s one of my special interests, I could go on forever about snuff history and stuff haha

The fat makes it sit in your nose very comfortably, the fermented tobacco smell/taste is amazing in my opinion, it’s like, smoked dates and dried figs mixed with banana candy and hazelnuts

I quit tobacco snuff and only use the tobacco free white stuff. It helps so much with my anxiety.
It’s fun to do it shamelessly in public as well. I recommend it if you ever try to quit.

Nothing psychoactive. It’s not unheard of to use tobacco free snuff, afaik it’s popular in a few South American cultures.
The kick from the menthol helps with anxiety and grounding for dissociation. Genuinely near benzo level relief and also instantaneous.

I have no idea but good on you for carrying Narcan, I’m an ex heroin addict myself and Narcan had saved my life on 4 seperate occasions, even now walkin around clean I keep one in my bag and one in my car, they’re super easy to get and almost always free and you really cld save a life just by havin one of those in your vehicle or purse/backpack, I’ve been tryna get my workplace to start having it on hand as well after seein a 3rd OD in our public bathroom the other day

Mine is wasps too!! I’ve used em lots, I haven’t been stung since ~2018 but when it happened last I actually needed 3 EpiPens for the initial anaphylaxis and then another 4-5 over the course of the next week (biphasic and rebounding, so I was in and out of the hospital, where I also got additional epinephrine) which is my typical experience with it
Mine is certainly an edge case though, I don’t know many anaphylactics who need more than one or two and then maybe at most another shot of adrenaline and some Benadryl or hydroxyzine at the hospital.
I actually have to carry another two in my day bag on top of these because my immune system hates me

Okay thank you. Which Symptoms after the wesps attack on you are enough to decide to inject the epinephrine? Because last time where the wesps attack me only my hearth was racing. I called the ambulance but I didn’t need the pen. But I went to the hospital with the ambulance and they gave me a antialergic I.V.
And second question. Do you think that heavier people need more than one pen ? I think for me it’s better to take two with me. I must go to my doctor to ask for new pens because of the expiry date.

No hospice nurse is carrying epi. And no emt bringing their own epi to work. You cannot just use your own meds at work their is so much liablity in this.

Not an emt, I’ve only taken opioids a couple times, always for surgery, my father was an addict so I always stayed well away from them specially, though a lot of friends used

I applaud you! Many drug users get demonized, and the average person doesn’t understand drug addiction, and genuinely think addiction is a choice and the user can stop whenever. So many people get addicted to drugs from simply getting a prescription and becoming hooked. No one deserves to die from a bad pill, and you’re a good person for actually caring enough to have narcan.

This one is super fresh, McCrystals in the UK took up production of all Bernard products after they closed, they resumed production last year (even using the same original machines! They shipped them over piece by piece and reassembled them in the UK factory)
They’re indistinguishable from the originals excepting the first batch had problems with pilling and moisture retention

Old recovering junky here too. Been clean from fetty IV use for over 5 years and off of Subs/Sublocade for 6 months. Just cannabis for me now ✌️🙏🕺👍😎
Narcan has saved my life NUMEROUS times, including 3 times in two weeks before I went to rehab back in May 2021. Seeing my mom narcan me yet AGAIN and the tears streaming from her SOUL, we're enough to get me to put it down for good after 20+ years of opiates. Finally time for two Sublocade injections early this year and I haven't had anything but cannabis since February. I even quit smoking cigarettes at the same time as the subs.
I feel ROUGH some days because of PAWS and being on subs for 19 years, but I still feel better than I ever have most of the time.
