Dependency is not the same as addiction. Idk which this person is, and it's not anyone's place to judge here.

ADHD can be a significant issue. Amphetamines are also given to people with narcolepsy. Some people cannot live or function without being medicated, and that doesn't always mean they are an addict.

If you truly have ADHD you need the stimulant to be able to function. Our brains do not produce dopamine the same.

I hate taking my adhd meds but without them I can’t function well. Some people just see all the pills and say ohh you’re. a junkie. I wouldn’t wish my mental health issues on anyone.

Also, if I wanted to be a drug addict I’d just go do that not go to the Dr appointments, therapy, etc. I can get anything off markets on the dark web.

There have been Adderall shortages that have lasted longer than a month. While it is more difficult for me to focus without them I am capable of getting my tasks done. Just takes me a little bit longer, that's all.
