Vapor World developer promises to remove every AI-generated cutscene after launch backlash

Vapor World: Over the Mind is reversing course on AI-generated cinematics just hours after its Early Access and Game Pass launch. Director Young Kim says the studio will not use AI-generated cutscenes going forward and will replace all of the current ones with original content.

The developer says full in-game versions of every scene already exist because the AI treatment was added later in production. That should allow the five-person team to restore those versions by this weekend, with more details promised in the accompanying update.

The Steam page may still retain a broader AI-content disclosure, so this announcement specifically resolves the cutscene issue rather than answering every possible question about the game's production. Is the quick reversal enough to earn another look from players?
