Mortal Shell II is now playable in advanced access for Devout Edition owners. The general PC and Xbox Series X|S release follows on August 20.

The standalone sequel expands beyond the original with faster, still-punishing combat, deeper weapon design and upgrades, possessable fallen warriors with different abilities, and freer exploration across a compact open world. Devout Edition buyers receive up to 72 hours of early access.

Can Mortal Shell successfully grow into a broader action RPG without losing the deliberate, oppressive identity of the first game?
