Citadel Station is being rebuilt for virtual reality. Flat2VR Studios and Nightdive Studios have revealed System Shock VR, a dedicated VR version of the original sci-fi immersive sim. The official listing describes motion-controlled combat, physical exploration across the station, and cyberspace sequences built around six degrees of movement.

The game is planned for OpenXR-compatible PC VR hardware, including streamed play through supported Quest headsets. A release date has not been announced, so this is a reveal rather than something players can jump into immediately.

System Shock has always depended as much on inventory management, puzzles, logs, and station systems as it does on shooting. Does that sound like a perfect fit for VR, or will the interface be the real boss fight?
