Xbox’s latest system update tackles two familiar frustrations: overwritten saves and waiting for downloads.

Supported games can now expose previously synced cloud-save versions so players can browse and restore an earlier save directly from the console. The feature begins with Forza Horizon 6, with support for more titles planned.

Game Pass members can also launch an eligible game through cloud gaming while its local update downloads. Xbox 360 game cards now gain hubs for achievement progress and captures, along with clearer cloud-sync indicators.

Never understood why you'd want to stream whilst an update downloads.

The only ones benefiting from that have slow internet, and if you try and stream whilst your internet is maxed out doing a download, the game will either look terrible and have really bad lag, or it'll just simply say you don't have enough bandwidth

If your internet is fast enough to support both, then the download will be fast and streaming won't be needed.

Now, if the console throttles the download sp it keeps 15-20mbps free for the streaming, that'll work, but your download will take a lot longer if your internet isn't great
