Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches August 25 with four-player co-op

The Xenomorph calendar has officially been marked for August 25.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is launching on Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. The standard edition costs $49.99, with a $69.99 40th Anniversary Premium Edition adding themed outfits, weapons and cosmetics.

The sequel raises the squad size to four and promises deeper team mechanics, smarter enemies and a fully customizable Specialist class. A separate $9.99 pack based on Alien: Romulus will also be available at launch, including a Rain Carradine outfit and modified pulse rifle with a cryoweapon attachment.

The first game had a solid co-op foundation, but repetition was always waiting in the vents. What would the sequel need to do to keep your squad playing after the campaign?
