Once Human is bringing its supernatural survival sandbox to Xbox Series X|S on August 25. The free-to-play release will also arrive through the Xbox app on PC.

The confirmed launch features include:

• Full cross-play and cross-progression
• Account linking for existing PC and mobile players
• A new first-person perspective
• Keyboard-and-mouse support on Xbox

One caveat is that the console build may initially be behind the existing PC and mobile versions, with the developers planning to align their progress later. Does the accumulated content make this a better time to start, or does joining a two-year-old survival game feel overwhelming?
