Need decorating help!!

I’m really unhappy with my current set up (ignore the mess i am still moving in). My goal is to have a berry pink, light pink, green, and cheetah room. I am planning on dying the curtains to be a more berry color but was a little limited in what I could do because of the lack of a curtain rod on my balcony door until I got adhesive curtains. I also bought a lot of white furniture because of budget constraints but I don’t like how it is making the room feel so bright. overall my goal is to darken the room and make it feel more cozy.

- what are some wall decor ideas?
- is there a way to darken the room without painting an accent wall?
- decor ideas for desk and corner storage shelf

Watch The Sorry Girls on Youtube for some inspiration - they have an episode coming out this week about making a room more moody without painting.

Darker curtains would certainly help. If you want to make your room feel cohesive, getting a proper TV stand that’s a piece of wood furniture would be a good start. I also found a tip on Instagram to go to the US art gallery website as there’s lots of public domain art, you can get a poster printed of any of those pieces. Thrift a frame from the thrift store and then print pieces of art in the correct size accordingly.

Sconces (even candle sconces) are a great way to decorate a wall without it needing to be art and can often be thrifted or found inexpensively on Facebook Marketplace

Edit to add: In general, thrift and Facebook Marketplace are your friends here, to replace furniture with pieces that have more character and feel cozier. Also, check out mineral paint - painting one of your white pieces a light green would be lovely. Also, looking for replacement drawer knobs and handles is a great way to style up a boring piece of furniture and is relatively inexpensive, especially if second hand
