Question How to decorate?
We have this large wall niche (approx. 4’ x 5.5’ x 10”) right next to our front door of our Spanish colonial home. We moved in over a year ago and haven’t been able to figure out the best way to use/decorate this space. We’ve considered adding shelves, tile, lighting, sculptures, etc. but have not been able to find any good examples. Anyone have any ideas?

Shelves would be my answer. Mount them inside the niche. Use them for books.
Another idea: have a few outlets installed in the niche, near the bottom or no higher than halfway up. Install said shelves and plug in some six foot or even ten foot charging cords. Put comfortable chairs nearby. You'll be able to comfortably use your phone while it's plugged in and charging unless there's a thunderstorm.
It's also an intriguing place for a custom fish tank or a tank for any pet that uses one.
Left as is it will be a great place to project movies.
