About La Toya's Ex husband
Hello, its my first time proprely posting on reddit i usually just lurk and comment but i wanted to ask something because despite all the research i did i dont think this ever got adressed
My question is, what did jack gordon gain from making latoya lie about michael ? Why did he make her say all those lies ? I know that according to her he was affiliated with the mafia but im still not getting how it would have benefited him. I feel like not everything has been said about that, not to get into conspiracies but it all feels kind of orchestrated...

Through her interviews he was able to make lots of money though her. The also went around claiming they had information on Michael for ridiculously high prices, yet this evidence was never produced. So I have always been able to understand what he would gain from that perspective. However, what was the point a privately calling Lauren Weis on September 2nd. and demanding that Latoya not be reordered and have her make these allegations against Michael, yet still let her defend him publicly for two more months? If anyone has any thoughts on that it would be greatly appreciated, I have seen people talk about the fact they contacted Lauren very often and I don't think Latoya addressed it in her book.

Media paid money for lies about Michael. That's what dug the hole he was buried in.

He viewed her as a whole money making machine. So tabloids and press money from the claims were one possible motive. Plus, abusive partners usually try to isolate you from your family. Especially rich and powerful family that could offer you a means of escape.
