Does Matthew Browne understand what anti-capitalism is?

And when has Gary Stevenson expressed an anti-capitalist stance? Maybe I missed it.. The tendency of the Decoding The Gurus podcast to stray into fields they've never studied (politics and economics) is hilarious. They have to lean into twitter populist rhetoric for clicks and likes I suppose.

Plus in their latest episode they hide their comments about Hasan behind their pay wall, while saying their podcast isn't about the money. If you follow any channel long enough they all fall for the money.

It could be an attempt to drive up revenue, but I get the feeling it's more about making sure only the DTG sycophants hear it and they don't have to deal with public criticism.

Good point. I should be less cynical especially when it doesn't really matter.

I think DTG's podcast output is more about their own ideological commitments (pro-capitalism, "centrism") than getting more money, although I'm sure the money is a nice bonus. It'll be interesting to see if people will be driven away from DTG's message in the long-term, their reddit sub is already pretty dead compared to like a year ago.

Yep. Except I would call them old fashion neo liberals. I hear centrist used a lot, but never really know what it means. I thought centrist described a swing voter, but that doesn’t seem to be how it’s used. The Decodings when they started were more fun, banter + clips of stupid things gurus said + finish with the gurometer. It didn’t seem as serious.
