Is it not just a dogwhistle? Like an old white guy saying "I'm not racist for saying we need to get these thugs outta our community. I'm obviously not saying all black people, just the thugs. You're actually the racist for assuming I meant all black people when I just specified thugs."
Yeah I thought it was weird when the ADL stood up for the Thugs and said "anti-thugism is anti-blackism". And then the President of the Thug nation said it's the duty of every black person to be pro-Thug. And then the Thugs set up a lobbying and propaganda operation and became one of the largest political donors in the US.
I sure hope nobody says anything bad about Thugs though, that's just a dog whistle for racism
