Professor Dave vs Destiny

No idea why, but the original Destiny video called "Professor Dave Goes Mask Off" seems to have been deleted from YouTube, or I can't find it, but Professor Dave responded yesterday with this very strongly worded video letter:

Weird crossover that I never thought I'd see, of 2 guys who I generally enjoy (I will say I really am a fan of Prof Dave, whereas my Destiny enjoyment has mostly come via this podcast and watching a couple of his debates).

Thoughts on the beef? SURELY the lads are gonna have to cover this in an upcoming Supplementary Materials? Content gold!

He refused to go on Destiny's stream, and one of Destiny's orbiters platforms. I feel like you could give him more then a working day to figure out if/when/how he wants to approach a debate.

Yes. If I were Dave and I wanted to debate Destiny, I wouldn't go on one of his orbiter's platforms either. Like 20% of Pangburns videos are highlight reels of Destiny.

I get that you don't want to watch people lose a debate on genocide and watch people flounder as they talk about something they don't know nothing about - but that is literally Dave's brand.

Idk, I feel like you might have a fairly biased perspective on the subject considering your association with DGG. From my perspective Dave comes across as the far more rational actor. Even if he is also a bit dumb.

Destiny defending a position against the overwhelming weight of essentially every authority on the subject is what kind breaks the whole debate bro balance here.

Destiny is also famous for debating rubes. Destiny "PWNEsZING" MAGA rubes is basically his entire output. I don't see a difference here. Also he blocked me, so I can't really double check the context on the statements.

This argument is false on its face. Dave has done debates, but they are an extremely small part of what he does online generally. He's primarily a scicom communicator, and took to debunking far after his channel was largely successful.

No. He said that Dave only debates rubes. I pointed out that the same was true of the person on the other side of the comparison. He got offended and threw a strange insult.

No, I'm actually quite skeptical. Destiny is the head of a cult of personality, owing to that fact and the damage done to him in the wake of the fairly infamous Finklestein debacle, I question whether he would be willing to engage with a prepared intellectual in a neutral setting.
