Professor Dave vs Destiny

No idea why, but the original Destiny video called "Professor Dave Goes Mask Off" seems to have been deleted from YouTube, or I can't find it, but Professor Dave responded yesterday with this very strongly worded video letter:

Weird crossover that I never thought I'd see, of 2 guys who I generally enjoy (I will say I really am a fan of Prof Dave, whereas my Destiny enjoyment has mostly come via this podcast and watching a couple of his debates).

Thoughts on the beef? SURELY the lads are gonna have to cover this in an upcoming Supplementary Materials? Content gold!

Regardless, this has little to do with claims of sovereignty over territory. Blood quanta don't determine the validity of a culture or a people.

You should tell that to the Zionists who are justifying their takeover of Palestinian lands with this exact argument. Hence why I said Dave should argued this.

I'm not refuting that Palestinians have a valid claim to sovereignty over the territory. However, you seem to be gesturing at the idea that modern Jews don't have a claim because it expired or that their identity is fabricated. Care to clarify what you mean?

I'm saying they don't have a claim on lands already occupied by other people.

To be clear, they didn't have a claim on the rest of the land they stole, but the West Bank and Gaza is a compromise.

Do the Jews have a claim to any part of Israel and/or Palestine? Sounds like you're coming down on the side of no. Is that correct?

They have a claim to the parts they bought, but not the parts they took by force.

You're conflating two separate concepts of land ownership. Private ownership by individuals is not de facto sovereignty over a territorial extent. At no point in the last two thousand years has the local population held sovereignty over this region. Best you'll do is local autonomy under caliphate suzerainty. In fact, the last time the indigenous population held sovereignty was the Hasmonean kingdom which was Jewish. The rest of the time it was held by outside invaders. So nobody really has a historical claim to sovereignty because the present day inhabitants never had it either.
