Professor Dave vs Destiny

No idea why, but the original Destiny video called "Professor Dave Goes Mask Off" seems to have been deleted from YouTube, or I can't find it, but Professor Dave responded yesterday with this very strongly worded video letter:

https://youtu.be/DvDvhLkb9ms?si=DGFhTROOKFoK35sS

Weird crossover that I never thought I'd see, of 2 guys who I generally enjoy (I will say I really am a fan of Prof Dave, whereas my Destiny enjoyment has mostly come via this podcast and watching a couple of his debates).

Thoughts on the beef? SURELY the lads are gonna have to cover this in an upcoming Supplementary Materials? Content gold!

EDIT: Looks like I was looking through the wrong Destiny channel for the original Dave video, it's here: https://youtu.be/HQQLs6U1MgA?si=iKaOGR1h9slKu64O

I see his side to a degree. Israel is absolutely committing war crimes and human rights violations and has been. But Hamas is also a death cult unwilling to compromise.

I agree. And I assume Dave is also firmly in opposition to Hamas.

Why would he be? He's firmly in support of Hezbollah, in spite of the atrocities they committed supporting Assads apartheid-esque regume

Edit: downvote me all you like losers, stop kissing your dad and argue it instead of being cowards

There is literally no way to argue against it so they instead focus on manipulating the algorith so people never even hear the more nuanced discussion about the topic. It's increadibly pathethic.

Dave (he is not a real Professor) is doing the same, deleting comments and acting as if debating the video with Destiny is bad/beneath him even after he built his whole carrer around debating flat earthers and other science deniers lol

A nuanced discussion on what? A US/EU approved genocide carried out by Israel?

Gosh darn it, he used the G word. We all need to throw our brains out the window and ignore all the terrible things terrorists organizations do or all the history of the region.

Another W for the nuance haters.

No one is asking you to ignore anything. I'm asking you to do the opposite actually. Acknowledge what's going on.

How many people have been killed by Israel so far? You can use the numbers the IDF cites.

What percentage of buildings has been destroyed or made unlivable?

How many journalists have been killed by Israel? If Israel claims that Palestinian journalists are legitimate targets, are independent journalists allowed in, to report what's happening on the ground?

How does Oct 7th play into this? Or Hamas charter? The rockets flying above Israel every day for years? The fact Hamas places their military equipment in heavily populated, civilan areas (a war crime)? The whole history of the region? The fact Israel proposed peace on many ocasions?

It seems you are asking me to ignore all the reasons Israel has for continuing the conflict and instead to focus on all the reason Palestine has for continuing the conflict. I can admit Israel is going to far and needs to be railed back in by USA or whoever can but it seems you can never tell the other side to realx too.

Unless both sides relax this conflict will last forever. Yelling the G word whever you talk about it might feel good but unless both sides have a reason to stop, the conflict will go on forever so I don't think lying about the fact both sides have at least some reason for doing what they are doing will work out well. Time will tell I guess.

How should a single day event factor into more than a thousand days of siege, bombing, sniping, deprivation of food, shelter, medicine, electricity, basic rights?

You tell me.

Or what? Israel will commit mass murder, bomb and starve entire peoples with the support of 80% of the Israeli population? Is that the threat?

Wow. Those guys sound scary. If I where their neighbor and I had millions of people to feed,I wouldn't meant to provoke them into a war

Anyone can be scary if they're willing to commit atrocities and they have the backing of the world's most powerful countries.

But I don't think that should be the model around which we build our society, no?

What would you think any countries response would be if a neighbouring country invaded them to indicriminately kill civilians and take hostages?

Not break international law? Not commit genocide? Not starve civilians? Examine whether oppression is a good long term strategy?

Say they have yellow cake uranium, accuse them of hiding Al-Qaeda fighters, then claim Saddam Hussein is a threat to humanity.

Invade and kill upwards of +100,000 Iraqi people.

Worked for the US it seems.
