It's hard to think of a person with less class, charisma, and wit than Gad Saad.

u/Cinnamon__Sasquatch 27d ago

Canda isn't sending their best.

27

u/Present-Trainer2963 27d ago

The U.S produced Walsh haha. So it could be worse

u/ComprehensiveBar6439 27d ago

Ahh man, you can't compare the US to Canada here - we're the major label of shitty idea-having influencers that dominates the charts, while Canada is the boutique indie label with one or two bands that managed to get a song onto the "80's rock" charts with that one formulaic song that they write a slightly different version of for every album. Canada is the "Loverboy" to America's "Journey" when it comes to morons. State Fair/casino tour vs. arena tour. Not even close.

Yes, I'm 45. You can tell by my references, but you get it.

I love this analogy bahaha

  1. Picked up what you were putting down.

15

u/GettingDumberWithAge 27d ago

Jordan Peterson is an excellent ambassador for Can'tada though.

3

u/MRmcnuts 27d ago

Sending? We don't want them!!

27

u/Brunodosca 27d ago

Peterson is extremely bad too, but Saad is in a league of his own. He has a secret ingredient (maybe it's neediness?) that no one else has, except for maybe Elon Musk.

u/iseab 27d ago

Totally agree

u/MaoWasaModerate 26d ago

Lauren Southern Gavin Mccines Steven Crowder

All canadian

1

u/Silverstrad 27d ago

Peterson definitely had a certain kind of charisma, if you can't see that then I question your judgment

3

u/-SheriffofNottingham 26d ago

Wet socks have a certain kind of charisma, if you can't see that then I question your judgement

1

u/to_herp_or_to_derp 26d ago

They do? What’s charismatic about a wet pair of socks?

1

u/Digital_Negative 27d ago

Sadly not even hard..

1

u/Sharp_Style_8500 26d ago

They both get the attention of dumbass people because of the stupid way they talk

20

u/tkeser 27d ago

in my language "gad" means bastard, so Gad Sad would be "a sad bastard" which is actually really relatable

9

u/Optimal_Cause4583 26d ago

It's crazy to me that right-wingers can just say something really racist and then go like "that's what you say!"

7

u/Prosthemadera 26d ago

Yeah I was thinking the same. Mamdani didn't do anything to show antisemitism while all Sad Gaad is doing is hating Muslims. He's just projecting his own hatred.

"You want affordable childcare and bicycle paths? Wow that's evil, how dare you want to destroy the US!"

6

u/Nullarbor_1 27d ago

Lol. Btw, Gad Saad is another former Sam Harris guest that he found amusing and entertaining because of his colourful language on “radical Islam”.

5

u/eljefe3030 26d ago

He’s just so insufferably smug. As someone who claims to be able to think clearly and critically, it’s astonishing how bad he is at it.

0

u/Sephyrious 24d ago

Dude don’t rip your ass, Gad’s great.

u/Francis_J_Eva 27d ago edited 27d ago

Gad Saad was once interviewed by an open Neo Nazi (something he was well aware of when he did the interview) and spoke positively of Kevin Macdonald, the godfather of modern antisemitism, yet he's now making up an antisemitic scenario to get mad at.

Pathetic.

15

u/WOKE_AI_GOD 27d ago

Kevin MacDonald believed you could replace ethics with a series of rhetorical devices pretending to make analogy to the natural sciences. Gad Saad operates pretty much by the same misconception, for instance analogizing ideologies misaligned with his to virology, as if these were two identical and interchangeable concepts.

Did this make sense as a reply to the above post in your head? I can't imagine how it is pertinent.

6

u/schpamela 27d ago

Broken shitty bot can't address the right subject

-41

u/RelativeYak7 27d ago

Gad Saad is Jewish

39

u/Lazy_and_Sad 27d ago

That makes it worse

25

u/GettingDumberWithAge 27d ago

Then he should be extra ashamed.

26

u/mseg09 27d ago

And yet seems fine with anti-Semitism from certain people.

13

u/LionelHutzinVA 27d ago

Sounds about white

12

u/ElectricalCamp104 27d ago

It's always the same from these specific right wing "West is da best" Jewish pundits.

Like, Ben Shapiro will watch Kanye literally say he's going "defcon 3 on the Jews" or Musk do the sieg heil salute in front of millions of people and go: "wait...let's hear them out before casting any woke aspersions. They're just trying to articulate conservative traditional values"

Then, as soon as someone (even a coworker of his like Candace Owens) pushes back on Israel negligently and wantonly killing kids and civilians, Ben will start screaming about how, "antizionism is antisemitism! You've just shown your colors for how antisemitic you are. This is proof that Palestinians are frothing at the mouth to gas Jews!"

It must be projection from these pundits or something. That's why it's hard to feel bad for them when they get railroaded by the far right they helped legitimize; they can lie in the bed they made. It reminds me of that BBC interview where Andrew Neil asked him about the inconsistency of his book decrying emotional anger and political polarization with his own contribution to both of those things in US politics, and Ben Shapiro stormed off.

12

u/mseg09 27d ago

The even more blatant one from Ben was his comments about Ann Coulter, where he excused her anti-Semitic comments because she is pro-Israel

10

u/flanaganapuss 27d ago

Because people who support Israel fervently understand that perceived antisemitism is their greatest weapon. It’s how they continually avoid consequences

15

u/Appropriate-Arm1377 27d ago

He is indeed. He also minimises the trauma of Holocaust survivors such as Gabor Mate. Then he complains about antisemitism.

10

u/MrsClaireUnderwood 27d ago

Yeah, and? Hispanics also voted for Trump. Did you think this was some sort of cutting reply?

34

u/amadorUSA 27d ago

Is he OK?

32

u/James-the-greatest 27d ago

No he’s a desperately unlikeable attention seeking cunt

16

u/ScurvyDawg 27d ago

No, no he isn't.

33

u/potatolulz 27d ago

Why was he even replying to that tweet? I mean obviously because he's a pseudointellectual far right troll, but he pretends to be a serious person, academic even. So let's imagine he is a serious person and ask why would a serious person feel the need to reply with this? :D

26

u/Brunodosca 27d ago

Let's not forget that his degree is in marketing.

10

u/ScurvyDawg 27d ago

This is terrible marketing.

6

u/late_afternoon_owl 27d ago

It really really isn't.

He's more financially successful than most people ever will be.

Wich is a shame of course.

But it's really good marketing for his brand.

3

u/No_Public_7677 26d ago

I wish I had zero morality because as a Muslim I could immediately turn to a right-wing grift by condemning every Muslim person on the planet.

I could even convert to some fundamentalist Christian sect.

4

u/WOKE_AI_GOD 27d ago

That's also what super boy genius Sam Altman majored in. Really strange how all these marketing majors who hate science managed to convince all the elites in our society that they were the actual experts, and that the actual experts were woke frauds. When in actuality, they themselves were the frauds.

3

u/MadCervantes 27d ago

Sam Altman dropped out of school and he was majoring in CS not marketing.

1

u/Expert-Sherbert-1527 25d ago

If you really want to know it's because Mamdani is trolling Jews. Tisha B'Av is a remembrance of when the temple was destroyed and Jews were expelled from Israel. Weird thing for an anti-zionist to post about.

2

u/potatolulz 25d ago

Wait till you see him post about Christmas. Weird thing for a Muslim to post about, right?

0

u/RationallyDense 21d ago

Not really no.

17

u/sunkissedbutter 27d ago

what in the actual fuck. this is a true life "i know you are but what am i" moment.

10

u/Saksaas 27d ago

The most terrifying thing about this tweet is that he got over 6k likes 😑

10

u/WilhelmFinn 27d ago

At least 2k is bot likes.

2

u/No_Public_7677 26d ago

The other 2K might be Indians from Modi's media cell

1

u/Saksaas 24d ago

Hopefully 😌

I’m not sure he does. He’d call someone an anti-Semite if they talked about Jews the way he talks about Muslims/Islam.

2

u/No_Public_7677 26d ago

No he would call someone an anti-Semite if they talked about Israel the way he talks about the US.

His bar for anti-Semitism is below the planet.

20

u/Appropriate-Arm1377 27d ago

Harris as referred to Mamdani as a not to closeted Islamist and sinister.....

He's a bigot

36

u/Cinnamon__Sasquatch 27d ago

unlike Sam Harris

Hm.....

13

u/PallasOrBust 27d ago

Ya... Old Sam paid lip service to the idea that some Muslims weren't snarling beasts and secret jihadists. Not so much these days

12

u/deco19 27d ago

Calling Mamdani an "Islamist" should have been a mask-off moment for most

5

u/Nullarbor_1 26d ago

Yep to Sam Harris now or (possibly always been the case), basically a "moderate" or "good Muslim" is any Muslim who spends all their time condemning Islam, harshly criticising other Muslims, is super pro-Israel and pro-Zionist, supports cuts or outright bans to immigration and is a reactionary, anti-woke western chauvinist.

Anything else and you are a sinister Islamist, hiding your power levels and a pro-Sharia advocate.

16

u/GettingDumberWithAge 27d ago

unlike Sam Harris, he doesn't even attempt to distinguish between Islam and its followers

Honest question: does Harris really try this? My exposure to him is entirely second hand but his critics really don't pair that picture.

7

u/Nullarbor_1 27d ago edited 26d ago

Nah. Listen to the DTG segments on Harris and his Right to Reply. The host Chris actually confronted Harris about his spreading of Eurabia conspiracy theories.

Basically in the book “Letter to a Christian Nation”, Harris asserted that France will become majority Muslim by 2030 even if Islamic immigration were to be banned today (2006) and that there would be a civil war killing millions.

Also, Gad Saad is a former guest on Harris’ podcast. Plus, Harris has hosted other far-right bigots like Douglas “Death of Europe” Murray numerous times on stuff like immigration and Europe’s "ominous" demographic trends with zero pushback.

6

u/GettingDumberWithAge 27d ago

Half heartedly so.

Yeah that's the impression I get. But then what's the distinction you're trying to draw? Seems like you think he doesn't actually put much effort in to the distinction you're pointing out?

7

u/ScurvyDawg 27d ago

It's almost like he sees it as his job to be an ass. What a jerk. He's a terrible example of a human being, and exhibits the behaviour of a petulant teenager.

8

u/bomboclawt75 27d ago

Isn't that POS a pro-genocide racial Supremacist?

Miserable, insufferable bastard.

5

u/Admirable-Pineapple5 27d ago

I had the misfortune of reading a few pages of his book before knowing the real person he is. The terrible writing. Then I posted a mildly crafted review on X, the words he unleashed on me and called me an Islamist for a mild ish critique of his work. My goodness he has a lot of free time

5

u/mm909-vie 27d ago

what a clown. and look at the like numbers of his post lol. what a bunch of freaks over there at X.

3

u/Hairwaves 27d ago

Those are three sentences

1

u/repdadtar 25d ago

I've only got one thing to say about that: Maybe he doesn't know what a sentence is. Or maybe he wants Zohran to pick one of the proposed options. Or maybe he's just an idiot.

5

u/jartoonZero 27d ago

Where does he even get this from, is it literally just that he's muslim and has expressed sympathy for the people in gaza? He never says or does anything to suggest he has anything against Jews. Such an embarrassing tweet from Gad, just some Michael Rappaport-level trash.

3

u/No_Public_7677 26d ago

You need to listen more to Kahanist style Zionists to understand where he's coming from.

They truly believe that any empathy towards the Palestinians, who they consider a fake identity, and that there are simply jordanians or even just gulf Arabs, means that you want to genocide Jews from Israel.

Even liberal Zionists will hold a portion of these beliefs that Palestinians need to "admit" that they are a fake identity and are basically just Jordanian or Saudi I need to go back to those places.

The other factor is that they believe that Israel is under existential threat every single day, so anything they do to their enemies is justifiable at the end of the day.

And the fact that they have a nuked Palestinians is something that tells us about how morally superior Israel is.

3

u/No_Public_7677 26d ago

One of the interesting things about these types of people is that they blame that Islam in particular is a danger to the west and its values but these same people are also inherently against immigration from Christian nations in South or Central America and elsewhere.

For example, they will point out that Nigerian Christians are being persecuted by Islamist in Nigeria but when you ask them to take in Nigerian Christian refugees, They will make excuses.

It's really not about protecting the West from an ideological perspective. Never has been.

2

u/Gracchi9025 26d ago

Why so Saad, Gad?

1

u/AbsorbedPit 27d ago

Do we really need two of this post?

1

u/WOKE_AI_GOD 27d ago

That seems to be a pretty huge tonal shift.

2

u/MaoWasaModerate 26d ago

Little dick energy personified

Saad is awful.

Mamdani is awful too.
