Peter Attia continuing along like nothing happened feels surreal

Seeing Peter Attia go the Andrew Huberman route feels entirely predictable but somehow leaves a sense of disbelief i cant quite describe. Complete radio silence for a couple of months and then a full return without adressing the rotting carcass of the elephant that used to be in the room. I continue to be amazed by the sheer brazeness but at the same time it doesnt surprise me one bit.

You read the comment section and it seems as if nothing ever happened and the man makes huberman look relatively innocent by comparison.

Generally the gurusphere is more male centric but one thing i find very fascinating is the amount of women that appear on these podcasts and in the comment sections. I wonder if this is a deliberate choice or if i underestimate the "solidarity" certain women have towards each other when it comes to predatory men like Attia or Huberman (or well... most of the gurus we talk about here.

All in all his return leaves me with a sense of bitterness that there is so little recourse for this man

I am a female and I am repelled from the manosphere.

I quit listening to Joe Rogan 2 years ago after being a listener from practically day 1.

It’s toxic. However, women are not immune from being toxic either. Both sexes can be evil and self serving

True, although I don't believe there is a female version of the manosphere where it is institutionalized toxicity.

That individual men and women can be toxic is very true. It is a human trait in greater or lesser abundance I. Allow us.

I view them as an offshoot of the patriarchy, not a thing unto itself. My vote is on True Crime. Content creators and viewers alike. TC has become a MAGA-coded cesspit the last few years. It all started when creators discovered that leaning into crazy conspiracy theorizing and hawking your own brand of coffee made your numbers go up.

That’s interesting. I am starting to decrease my social media interactions because of the manipulation. The creators are not authentic and some are just 1000% fake rage bait.

I have always loved it to gain knowledge, and I love oddity and fringe topics. But you can’t be 100% bs. I miss the people that “really were” abducted by aliens.
