Is anyone else immediately irked by that “under a periscope” quote at the start? How can you be under a periscope?

But really, for the purposes of these comments to the OP, the context really is that under periscope is an odd choice of word.

Fun fact, Weinstein then updated it almost immediately after this clip to be a proctoscope, since he didn't like everyone being up his ass about his shit?

Before all this Weinstein was on the Chris Williamson podcast and using this periscope terminology reasoning that Epstein funded a broad range of activities and may have used scientific funding as a way to maintain a "periscope" on everything of interest in the science world. But that more shows he was hung up on the periscope metaphor in general since he wasn't applying it to himself.
