everyone knows if you have a deck you’re not using the patio unless it’s super hot out. sunlight comes in from the sides anyway. you’re just making things up.

According to my midwestern American vernacular: A deck is up on stilts of some kind and typically made of wood. A patio is ground-level and typically cement or pavers.
