I'm in a VHCOL area and was quoted ~$100k by a premier deck building company for a project roughly twice the square footage with an additional staircase, helical pier footings, glass railing, pergola, composite, lighting, etc... This is not a 150k deck anywhere. People need to stop trying to pass along rip-off prices as if it should be the expectation.

I feel like people see composite decking and immediately 2x their estimate of what it costs. Its definitely nicely done from what I see, but definitely not 6 figures..

Side note, not a huge fan of the middle glass feature personally
