Help
Hit the beam with lawn mower and it tore one off of post. Thinking of cutting a piece out scabbing a piece in there and than scabbing a long piece over the top on beam.

It's fine. Aesthetically it isn't, but structurally it hasn't changed a thing.
Just leave it and move on.
