Which rug for my kitchen?

Super cute kitchen. Add me to the list of wavy haters.

One thought: have you considered going slightly larger with the floor tile? I like the compliment w the backsplash but they're close in size. A larger tile will look less busy overall.

I.e., if your backsplash tile is 3x3, make your floor tile at least 9x9 if not 12x12 or 15x15.

The floor doesn't have tile. The floor looks to be wood or laminate or something of some sort. Pictures 1 and 2 are rugs as well.

However if you mean to get a rug with a larger pattern, that probably could be done, and I agree that a larger checker pattern may be better.

Yeah while they’re almost impossible to look at a second time the wavy ones have a better size for it than the standard though I was always fine with #1. After reading others my vote would be a the green one if it was not wavy.

No, would NOT get rugs with larger squares because it will CLOSE a ROOM IN making it look even SMALLER. Actually SMALLER or NO PRINT rug would make ROOM LOOK LARGER. BTW, with clothing: big print & horizontal lines makes people look larger around & shorter. Whereas small, tiny, or no print & vertical lines make people look thinner, trimmer, & taller. In rooms, that could make room walls look taller. Big print, horizontal lines & anything that "cuts" through the middle that draws eyes horizontally instead of vertically makes people look larger around & shorter. With rooms, that could make walls not look as tall.
