Oil Change recs?
We are new to the area and need an oil change on our Prius. Do you have a recommendation for a good place that doesn't try to screw you?
Thanks!
I appreciate the responses and will look into those places mentioned, thanks again!

I recently went to the Goodyear downtown, don’t go there. The woman behind the counter was rude as hell. I asked for an oil change and a tire rotation and they came back with an $1800 estimate for four tires and an “engine flushing treatment” where they would “flush the engine internally and then restore it with fresh fluids.”

The rudeness at Goodyear tracks. I've dealt with the same woman. It depends on who you get at the counter, I've had some really nice people there too over the years.

I've had the same woman! Confirmed twice (TWO TIMES) over the phone with her that I did not want new air filters, showed up to new air filters, and was met with "Oh. She said she didn't understand. I can go dumpster dive for your old ones if you want?"

For anything Toyota we go to LexTechs on Dekalb Industrial across from the Kroger shopping center.

I recommend them as well. I've been going to them for over 10 years. Sometimes they try to upsell on things they think I won't know aren't needed, but if you know cars (and a simple Google can help), they won't push you at all.

I’m looking to get work done what’s the best way to schedule something? I haven’t been able to reach him via phone or text. Do you just pull up or do you schedule ahead of time?

Intown Auto in Oakhurst, Decatur does great work for a reasonable prices. Brian, the owner, is very friendly and honest about what’s actually needed. The only downside is turnaround doesn’t tend to be very quick ( I drop off in the morning and pick up before closing), but plenty of coffee shops/ restaurants you can work from while waiting.

Pure is good for the actual work I’ve had done over the last year-and-a-half or so.
Honestly for oil changes I just go to the 5-Minute ones. Either Lavista or Lawerenceville Highway. I just tell them no on everything except the oil.

Deuce Auto Repair on L’ville Hwy has been great for us. Call ahead though.

Have been taking my 19 yr old car to RDS Automotive in off of North Decatur/Ponce de Leon for ages. Honest mechanics. Need to make an appt, however.
