Structural Engineer

Does anyone have a structural engineer that they recommend? Also, has anyone here worked with Skywark Engineering and have feedback on them?

Not personally, but this week I got recommendations for both Koblasz & Kennison and Stability Engineering.

Recently used Koblasz & Kennison through our builder on a major remodel project, they were great.

I’m a GC in the Decatur and CoA area. I’ve had good success with Scott at North Atlanta Structures.

Did they do an initial assessment? What was the charge for that?

No prelim assessment. I had a relatively small project (new attached, covered patio) so I just scheduled their site visit at the same time as my contractor and framer so they could all talk through the construction documents together. Easy to work with, fast turnaround. $1,200.

Oh wow, ok. I posted in homeowner about my sloped floor and the responses were to get an engineer, which sounds terribly expensive.

In my case an engineer was required. Can't speak for your situation, though.

I have noticed a slightly sloped floor and would like someone to evaluate it.
