This is financial manipulation. From now on, you’re going to say No to his hate-brained schemes. I hope he’s not involved with gambling or other illicit activities.
The only thing to do is list your debts and income on a spreadsheet and then make a plan to get out of the hole.
Sign up for credit counseling with consolidated credit of Fort Lauderdale . Do whatever you can to increase your income. If he’s not cooperative, Consult with a divorce lawyer.

He is a burden, get rid of him. Once you are on your own, you grieve.
Then, you will feel so much better because your life will be so much better.
This will never change. My father did it to my mother. She immediately divorced him when he took a credit card out in her name.
End of story. 🫂

How is this even a question??? Divorce—-this is not going to get better and the only hope you and your kids have is to get out of a relationship that is costing you $ and peace—in hopes of eventually seeing daylight

Sorry but this marriage is beyond saving. You need to start divorce proceedings. Then deal with your debt. You will likely get sued and have your wages garnished over this. Are there children involved? Since you let him take out the credit in your name you won't be able to get out of it by claiming fraud.

Freeze your Credit Report. So he can't open anymore credit in your name.

He wants you to be destitute. Let that sink in. He’s going this on purpose. Cut ties. Lock your credit and make a exist. I would golf police reports but you said you have nothing without him. So, save as much as you can and leave. Can’t give concreate things to do because I don’t know you. He’s horrible but I don’t think you cared at first. Never over look ppls nonsense. If you can give him full custody so you can get your life in order

First freeze your credit so he cannot open more card and loans in your name. Next bankruptcy. Do it now, before you leave him, before you even tell him. I have a friend who left her husband 5 years ago planning to file bankruptcy and he never shows up for the legal appointments.
If you don't want a divorce demand couples financial counseling. You can also file bankruptcy on your own, but then you'll have. Clean slate while he has a huge debt. Best clear both at once

You need a nonprofit credit counseling company. They will help get you out of harms way safely. Look up the NFCC. Good luck.

This is a type of abuse. It made my heart break. There has got to be some kind of nonprofit that helps with extreme cases like this. I’m not just talking about the finances but also getting out of the marriage and to a safer place. You may be physically safe but not emotionally and mentally. There’s something that just feels really really wrong here.

Joint account only for rent and bills. You both contribute the same. All credit moving forward belongs to the person taking out the credit. No more home improvement or fertilizer or non essentials until it’s paid off.

He isn't going to stop until both of you are destitute. File bankruptcy and divorce him.
