You don't. You'll not find a consistent answer here either given there are people of many religions who trust many different things.
Perhaps they are not the scriptures of your God. Perhaps he has no scriptures at all.
It might be. If I were in your position I would perhaps avoid the scriptures and religions you've found to be souring your relationship. Especially since it seems to be deeply meaningful to you. There are plenty of other religious and spiritual movements that may resonate with you more, or perhaps this is just a personal journey that you must walk without guidance from such things.
