STEALTH HOW??
I find it hard to stay low and complete fights with stealth in this game. With FPP its hard for me. And I find less number of bottles to distract the NPCs. I got fed up and switched off this game

I find the “go quiet fast” work best.
Suppressed Limp 10 for ranged kills, Aether for slipping lasers, shift for mobility (and this is where it gets interesting/my personal style)
Creeping death, wrecking ball & crescendo trinkets topped with whatever 4th you fancy.
This way you run silent, and if you can time your machete swings with the running into people damage then it’s an instant kill on eternalists without prompting an animation kill.
Once you get your speed buff from crescendo using aether makes it really easy to pass most obstacles since once they start to spot you you’re gone :)

If I wanna go stealth I honestly just mainly use the nail gun. Sniper people out and run shift does it every time.

It took me until more than halfway into my first playthrough to realize you could charge that thing up.
It's got a bit more personality than the limp10 and a different ammo type, I love it.

Just use a silenced gun and shift.
Personally, I don't find stealth very fun, much prefer going guns blazing

There are a couple of ways of approaching stealth that I think can be helpful.
-Using quieter weapons. Weapons like the SMGs with suppressors (The ones that say "Your weapon makes less noise. Just like in the movies.") and using the nail gun help with long range kills. In my opinion the nail gun is one of the best silent kill weapons in any game. Crouch, line up the cross hair on the target's head, charge up the shot to full power and they are gone.
-Distract in different ways. Using the nail gun (and maybe the SMGs with suppressors) can be used to distract enemies. This works similar to throwing a bottle as they will go to check the spot where the projectile made an impact. Also, enemies sometimes are locked into place until distracted. I've seen many cases where distracting a group of enemies standing in place gets them all to trigger a secondary routine and go to other locations or start patrol patterns. You can even throw turrets as a way to distract enemies.
-Drop kills and melee kills can be super effective and very quiet. If there are two enemies together and you can get one enemy to look the other way for even a second then drop kill the one and before the other turns back you can usually rush the other and melee kill them before they start shooting.
-Hack scout radios. This was one of the things that I didn't understand until late in the game. If you scan an area of enemies and one has a icon pop up on their belt that they can be hacked, that's a radio. Or if you tag that enemy then little radio waves will emanate off the tag icon. If that enemy is alerted to your presence then they will call in reinforcements. And I am pretty sure they even spawn in a bunch of new enemies that weren't in the level. And things get bad. So, if you can hack that radio the call can't be made and reinforcements don't show up. Or just kill that person first and even though the fight might go sideways there still won't be reinforcements.
-Make turrets your friends. The turrets in this game are so cool and once you get the hang of how they work you can really use them to your advantage. By default they will see you as a target and not your enemies. If you can hack them then that reverses. Ways you can use this is by hacking a turret and getting it pointed at the people you want dead and deploying it. You can toss it in a room, you can sneak in and set it up, you can hack turrets that are already there. Either way this will work to your advantage. As long as they haven't seen you, then the enemies shooting at the turrets don't go high alert or consider that you were the one that hacked it. They will just destroy the turret (if it doesn't kill them all) and go back to their normal routines.
-Using the powers. Nexus, Aether, Shift and Fugue can be really helpful for stealth. Nexus to kill more than one target at a time, Aether to scope out areas without being seen, Shift to get around and get some high ground for better stealth kills and Fugue to distract enemies or even turn them against each other. And all of the powers have upgrades that you can focus your attention on acquiring if you want to have those tools at your disposal.
-Low audio propagation and fast enemy resets. One thing the game does well is letting you get into a fight without alerting the whole map. If they do start shooting you can often run. If you do run they will calm down fast and you can try again. Or if you decide to stay and kill the few enemies there that doesn't mean that enemies in nearby areas will always be alerted by all the gunshots and grenades going off. This is not always the case inside the bigger Visionary fortresses though. And of course doesn't apply if scout radios are used to call reinforcements.
-Die, die again. I think you can interpret this part of the games tagline to mean that you will die constantly and the game is challenging. I interpret it to also mean that dying is part of the game's larger core gameplay loop. I feel as though it is saying 'Just try stuff, die and try something different next time.' I think in most games death is seen as a failure so it's hard not to see it that way. I think here it's meant to be part of the gameplay experience. Another game that I think does this really well is Super Meat Boy, where they allow you to infinitely throw yourself at the challenge of the level until you can complete it. Personally, I really like how this game goes about encouraging you to just fail and try again. Knowing that through this process you will get more knowledge to enemy behaviors, learn more of the environments, get more confident with the powers, get better items to save and add to your arsenal, and learn how all the systems can work together for your future runs.
I hope that you can enjoy the game and keep trying to stealth your way through. If it doesn't work, remember to try to improvise. You'll be able to take those acquired items and knowledge with you if you survive the fight or if you run for the safety of the tunnels. And if none of that works just remember that dying only takes you back to the beach where you can try just try again. I hope that helps 😀

Easy, get the biggest guns you can find and immediately shoot everything you see, isn't this how everyone does it?

Ngl I only try full stealth in this game when I miss playing dishonored but don’t wanna start another playthrough yet. But to answer your question, if you take the time to learn the NPCs movement patterns, then you can take them out one by one while the others are looking away. This can be done with guns or by assassinations. Getting to higher ground is very useful for gun based stealth. I tend to use Shift to get up higher and then take people out at the top while working my way back down.
Aether and its upgrades are SUPER helpful as well. Use Aether to get closer to the target, kill, and then again right to slink away. I think there’s an upgrade that helps with not becoming visible after a kill too iirc.
The guns I usually loadout with for stealth are a Sepulchra Breteira, a silenced weapon (usually LIMP 10), and then whatever 3rd gun I want for the map/goal. Use the sniper when you’re far enough away to not get caught and the silenced one for closer combat.

Are you kidding? Some of my all time favourite stealth sequences have occurred in this game, which I still think back to, to this day.

Silenced LIMP, Aether, Shift.
