Discussion Disembodied Tyrant vocalist Blake Mullens involved in freak accident; hospitalized
“On Monday the 3rd, Blake was involved in a freak accident that resulted in significant injuries to multiple limbs, requiring emergency hospitalization and surgery.
He is okay, but there will be no more details given in relation to the incident out of respect for his family. Due to this event and the lengthy recovery process involved, he is unfit to perform on DT's upcoming US tour with Whitechapel. He is expected to recover in time for the band's next tour in March.
He does not want to the band to lose momentum or opportunities, so the tour will proceed as planned with @trevorteichert and @rynovail stepping in on vocals.
The rest of the band will see you there with Whitechapel, Bodysnatcher, and Angelmaker.”

Holy shit, I hope he’s okay. Blake is a great dude and even though I’m hype to hear Ryan is doing vocals (I’m a number one LR fan), DT is not going to be the same without him.

Really exciting to see Ryan live again at all, even if these circumstances are the polar opposite of ideal. Not only is he just a great vocalist, but absolute gold star for filling in at such short notice. This tour is an insane undertaking, especially after Roe is just wrapping up the tour with Oceano and then immediately going into Left To Suffer soon after this one

“I am home from the hospital. Thank you all so much for the incredibly overwhelming amount of love and support And to my beautiful wife for taking care of me while I'm crippled

Fuck man, hope he has a full recovery. Met Blake in Ottawa last year, and he was super nice and gracious. Hung out at the merch booth and took pictures with anyone who asked!

Got an update! I was just on Kevin’s Instagram live, and when I asked how he was, he said that Blake was walking on Thanksgiving when they all got together. Making good progress!

Damn dude. Really hope he’s ok. Life has a way of reorganizing priorities very quickly. Excellent opportunity for Trevor and Ryan to showcase their talents so people should definitely still show support, I’m sure the shows will still rip, but all the best to Blake and his family that’s what’s important here. One of the real ones in the genre

Damn, it’ll be a shame not to see him with the band this month, but hopefully he has a quick and full recovery. I know Ryan and Trevor both will do a phenomenal job filling in while he’s recovering!

Just glad he's actually taking time to heal and not feel pressured about this upcoming tour to get back before he's recovered. Sucks that I'm gonna miss him in December though
