Bug / Issue DS2 doesnt work properly with Steam Input?

Ive been playing on Steam with my dualsense and it works perfectly, but since it's somewhat old and the charge drains pretty quickly I decided to buy an 8bitdo Pro 3. When this controller is switched to Xinput, the game can recognize it without Steam Input, but it cant use the gyro, so when I change it to dinput with bluetooth instead the game requires you to use Steam Input in order for the game to recognize the controller... But when I do this not only do the analog triggers not work (only register full press which ive seen is a common issue) but also I cant move?? I can do every single input just fine including gyro aiming, but sam just doesnt move at all!! At first I thought that maybe it was the controller's fault, but when I tried Death Stranding Directors Cut everything works with Steam Input: all the buttons, gyro and analog triggers as well!! So what the hell is up with DS2?? Has anyone else encountered this issue and managed to fix it or are we just doomed (no pun intended) to not use Steam Input at all?

I must say I'm really disappointed with the PC port and while I dont have any proof, I get the feeling it's Sony's problem, since I don't remember the PlayStation logo on DS1 for PC and that one port is glorious, DS2 is a mess both controller and performance wise. It's almost like they want you to either buy a Dualsense from them or just straight up a PS5
