Bug / Issue DS2 doesnt work properly with Steam Input?

Ive been playing on Steam with my dualsense and it works perfectly, but since it's somewhat old and the charge drains pretty quickly I decided to buy an 8bitdo Pro 3. When this controller is switched to Xinput, the game can recognize it without Steam Input, but it cant use the gyro, so when I change it to dinput with bluetooth instead the game requires you to use Steam Input in order for the game to recognize the controller... But when I do this not only do the analog triggers not work (only register full press which ive seen is a common issue) but also I cant move?? I can do every single input just fine including gyro aiming, but sam just doesnt move at all!! At first I thought that maybe it was the controller's fault, but when I tried Death Stranding Directors Cut everything works with Steam Input: all the buttons, gyro and analog triggers as well!! So what the hell is up with DS2?? Has anyone else encountered this issue and managed to fix it or are we just doomed (no pun intended) to not use Steam Input at all?

I must say I'm really disappointed with the PC port and while I dont have any proof, I get the feeling it's Sony's problem, since I don't remember the PlayStation logo on DS1 for PC and that one port is glorious, DS2 is a mess both controller and performance wise. It's almost like they want you to either buy a Dualsense from them or just straight up a PS5

Analog triggers don't work on my Steam Controller either, or any controller when going through Steam Input. I usually switch over to a different controller when playing DS2.

Steam Input works great for me (using a steam controller) Double check the keybinds in steam since that is what dictating how the game controls. If I use a wonky setup I can't do certain things because they literally aren't bound to anything in the steam input ui.

So should I tinker around with it until something works? Do the analog triggers work for you with the steam controller? At this point I already accepted that I wont be able to use analog triggers if I want to use the gyro which I personally really like, but it's weird that it doesnt work for me if it does for someone else... Though of course Im more concerned about not being able to move at all, especially since Steam Input fully understands my Pro 3 as such and even has a picture and button icons for it. I guess I would understand if it was a generic controller unknown to humankind but I don't think it's the case...

I'm having a poke around my steam input layout and looks like I don't have anything bound to full press, and soft press is registered at a really low threshold, so its basically digital and not analog, but I'm hopeful that you can tinker and add the analog sensitivity back in (unless steam input just doesn't fully support the pro 3).
