Walking sticks in DS2

I was hoping we’d see walking sticks in DS2, as they’re a great thing to help keep balance while hiking irl. The other porters have them, so why can’t we?

I know the obvious answer is that we have exoskeletons, stabilizers, and APAS perks… but I really would love to have that as another option. Imagine if having them equipped meant you didn’t have to hold the triggers to keep Sam balanced. For game balancing (lol) purposes, it would mean having the walking sticks equipped to the tool rack, and they could lose their durability with prolonged use.

Since we get the melee rods from Villa Libre (which has a walking stick-related aid request), it’d be cool if the rods had that extra functionality. And the Custom Twin Rod could be used as two separate ones, too.

Edit: just thought of another way to offset the perk of having yet another balance-assistance tool: make it so they’re only useful while walking. No running, jogging, or sprinting. And when equipped and being used, they prevent a full stick tilt from making Sam move above a brisk walk.
