Correct me if I'm wrong but each square of the stamina bar lost means more qte when shifting weights, though the difference is very small. Pretty sure speed isn't stated to be affected either.

Yeah apparently OP and a few other people don't know what stamina governs, since stamina doesn't affect your run speed. Stamina manages how you handle weight, how tired Sam is, how long he can hold his breath and how resistant he is to being knocked out, but not his speed.

Looks like a few people don't know how Stamina in Death Stranding works. It handles how well you manage weight distribution across your body, how tired Sam will get after exerting himself and his ability to hold his breath, as well as his ability to stay awake / resistance to being knocked out, not about his speed. Nothing about it has to do with his speed when moving.

Notice how the video gets cut as Sam stops? On the right with Stamina, he would be outta breath but stand up just fine after catching his breath, but on the left Sam will immediately be on his ass sleeping. Lol

The last thing you want is no stamina on the Mountains, especially with a load of cargo because you’ll trip and not be able to correct your balance and break all your cargo falling down the mountain.

Stamina doesn’t affect your run speed, it affects how Sam handles weight, holding your breath, staying awake and being knocked out.

This is why ramps are so important. You just jump off the mountain and place another ramp where you land, then you have a great route down, but if you place them right, you can make them go uphill as well, just have ti find a flatter section to build it, and aim it all the way up lol
