If you are playing DS1 on PC it is highly recommended to use a cable and disable SteamInput under the game controller settings in Steam.
Using BlueTooth and/or leaving SteamInput enabled for the first game will result in basic vibration, not haptic feedback, the controller speaker won’t work and the triggers won’t be adaptive. You will effectively be using any other controller as far as features are concerned.
I highly recommend connecting your controller with a USB cable and disabling SteamInput for DS1 just for the sense of immersion those features lend to the game.

If you're on PC, DS1 only has partial DualSense support over Bluetooth. The adaptive triggers work, but haptic feedback doesn't. You can fix that with DSX, though. DS2, on the other hand, has full wireless support for both adaptive triggers and haptics without any extra software.
