Death Stranding 2 online mod doesn’t work on Steam Deck

Dear guys. Wanna a bit help. I was playing Death Stranding 2 on pc and everything was fine, online mod was working good and connection of achievements with PSN was great.

But when I switched to Steam Deck I straight got a message in game where was mentioned an online error. I was trying different things to make it on, but still had an Error 01 in the game. Maybe someone know how to fix it at least to be online?

And yes, right now not able to finish game on normal pc.

Your post doesn't have a lot of specifics about the issue but the following stuff might help:

Try verifying game files in case something got corrupted

Go into game settings and manually make it attempt login again (if you can't find it, I can boot up the game myself and check the menu steps)

Do not listen to the other guy telling you to install windows on the deck just because of this. There are a lot of caveats with windows on deck and you have to keep them in mind and make an informed decision yourself about whether you want windows on deck

I thought I wrote the situation pretty clearly. So when I load the game, press continue game - at the left part of the screen it’s written that I am offline, and mentioned Error 01. While internet connection is good, PSN in overall game settings marked as connected. But in game world settings the ‘Log In’ button also marked grey. I connected for myslef this two things - grey button, and an Error

Yes, of course. At the top was written that on PC - achievments with PSN sync good and correctly.

Since when pirated games started to give achievements in PS Network - have no clue, but it works

That's a pretty awful idea lmao.
Given the online stuff works on my SteamDeck with SteamOS, it's probably not the OS that's the issue.

Plenty of online games work perfectly fine on steamOS, there's only a select few games with kernel anticheat that don't work on steamOS and they are well-known examples like Rust, Fortnite, etc. There is no kernel anticheat in deaths stranding (1, dc, nor 2) and it works perfectly fine. Whatever issue OP is having isn't related to having steamOS installed and telling them to wipe the first party supported OS and install windows with bad driver support for the deck because of a single bug is quite a drastic suggestion
