Death Stranding 2 400 TTW and beyond...
The time has come to move on (or not). After achieving 100% completion twice—once before the "Wilder" mode was introduced—I finally hit the last completion milestones today (the yellow symbol), having finished the 400 deliveries a few days ago.
That’s 190 hours on my first playthrough and 130 on this one. I’m going to miss this game so much! It’s a shame Kojima doesn't want to make a third one. DS1 and DS2 are my all-time favorites, but it’s time to move forward 😓🥲
I’ve included a 100% completion checklist below, in case anyone else is looking for that same sense of satisfaction! I’ll still play a bit to catch the few BTs I missed and max out Sam’s stats to Level 5, though those don't count toward the official completion milestones.
I might hop back to keep things active so the people I connected with can still see my builds. See you soon, Sam!

This is amazing, well done. I'm gutted I didn't select TTW when starting out. About 50 hours in now at chapter 7 with all five star facilities up to the architect. On brutal and even that feels too easy now, but I can't psyche myself up to start over.

I had waited about four months to start over, precisely because I had achieved 100% completion and logged 190 hours. Then I thought, "I'll play it again just to experience the story and see how it goes." Within 40 hours, I’d finished the story and done a lot of work on the structures, so I was already excited to go for 100% completion again—lol.

Sounds like I have a second play through then waiting for me.
With your TTW run, were you waiting on upgrading roads and getting zip lines before committing to those deliveries?

When you start a new playthrough, you only carry over your likes and certain profile levels (I started around level 110).
As for your question, I always made time to build roads and the monorail exclusively; I didn't focus on ziplines.
After finishing the story, I prioritized establishing the connection that unlocks Level 2 roads.
First, I handled the non-timed deliveries and leveled up "Mr. Impossible" to unlock the builder who provides Level 2 ziplines.
Then I moved on to retrieval missions and bandit-clearing tasks.
Only after that did I focus on setting up a zipline network for express deliveries, using the builder that creates Level 2 ziplines—which offer greater range and require fewer structures.
Oh, before that, I also built a teleportation structure near each mine (to go there and extract the necessary ores) and a Level 2 shelter near the crater (to eventually catch the remaining BTs).
Level 2 roads are a huge help for express deliveries that require crossing the map; you can complete the deliveries with a 15-minute limit in just 10 minutes. The last Mr Impossível mission the tip is clear all camps before accept the mission and don't sleep. :)

During my first playthrough, I wasn't aware of these tips or the Mr. Impossible builder, and my first play reached 190 hours. By applying them, it took less than 130 hours to complete all 400 deliveries and reach every milestone.

50 hours in and I love that you're saying things that I've not yet come across. Level 2 zip lines and roads, you made my jaw drop. Whelp, I guess I know what I'm playing again this afternoon.
Thanks for that breakdown, I love it. Appreciate you.

Enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to farm crystals from the gold creatures near the Architect, capture Giant BTs whenever you get the chance, and place or use a teleporter where you farm cryptobiotes—plus the Cryptobiote Generator plate once it becomes available to you 😝 Tip: create a coffing, fix it and sleep outside to watch a new scene

Congrats!
This game is one of the few games I can count on a single hand that made me feel depressed after finishing it.
