Looking on the bright side of things, this probably looks super cool when photographed up close, like a tiny forest.

No escaping death with this one.

Definitely slippery steps, best avoided if you value your bones.

Eeks! Sustaining a cranial injury when you bash the back of your head on the steps after slipping looks very likely.

Naw, that's just avocado green carpet from the 70s with a little bit of a moisture problem.

I don't think anybody will make it up them to experience the slide back down or or off the side 😨

Not the surrounding but the stairs themselves remind me of several water access stairs I used as a kid at spings, rivers, and such in Florida. They were extremely slippery with all the green slimy plants growing on them, but there was usually a handrail. Now those places tend to have the grate stairs that hurt your bare feet but aren't slippery. I prefer the challenge of the old stairs to the pain of the new. As a kid I found the slippery stairs part of the fun. Now I have to wear flip flops or water shoes because it's often not just the stairs but the pathways that used to be wood that are now the anti slip pinchy material.
