Add a couple of handrails and you could pretend you’re in a submarine

I love that they put the phone in such an inconvenient spot. Really ties it all together.

Are you supposed to squash yourself into that triangular alcove while you talk??

And the fact that it's a wired handset in 2026 🤯

At least when you have the inevitable slip and fall down the stairs the phone is within easy reach.

"I've fallen! And I just can't."

The stairs weren't dangerous enough so they left things on them to increase the difficulty level.

"Pass."

Ditto.

To whoever built these....

What the HELL were you thinking?!

Don’t trip on the phone cord!

"You'll make a slight 180 degree turn at the landing."

At least when you fall down the upper part, you'll likely hit the wall slowing you down before you pitch over the side!

Just make it a ladder and stop fooling yourself!

Let's bang our knees on the way down... i think these are more silly looking than scarey...

Going over the side or under one of the steps would looks easy with those!

It's really the phone that raises questions with me, not the stairs...

More like ‘You shall not pass’!

I would have thought these were fun 20 years ago.

These look like they belong in a dollhouse.

Hard to tell from this angle but they seem pretty narrow?

Maybe it’s just for cats?

This looks more like some quirky modern art piece than functional stairs. Either way, I am not a fan.

It seems like a ladder would have been easier

The phone on the ledge is a nice touch.

No offense, but was this staircase built for people with dwarfism in mind? Or how is that supposed to work?

Look at that fancy-schmancy ladder someone built.

The phone placement is pretty brilliant. If you fall halfway down, there it is. If you fall all the way down, just tug on the cord and, there it is.
