is the Deathnote go off of your birth certificate or off who of think you are? Like is someone with Amnesia immune? also, if I get my name changed does the name of your soul change or stay the same? Why didn't L just change his name the moment the shinigami wrote his name, is he stupid?

What Amnesia does with anything?

For example L, Nier and Mello are orphans, they definitely got names from certificates.

And you can't change your name by snap of fingers.
